DudukPro vs DroneTone

DudukPro is your all-in-one Practice Companion – built specifically for the Armenian duduk. Most duduk players practice and learn with a patchwork of generic apps: one tuner, one metronome, one audio tool, and on top of that several online sources for instrument care and practise. WHY CHOOSE DUDUKPRO? DudukPro gives you one quiet place for all of that: - Pitch: tuner & pitch control, and background drones – and one very special feature: the option to calibrate the tuner to your reed! An extremely handy calibration tool when your reeds are slightly out of tune. - Rhythm: a metronome that helps you play in time. - Audio Lab: slow down, trim, transpose, and study audio phrases from recordings. - Exercises: focused breathing, vibrato and scales drills (with room to grow). - Care: practical advice for looking after your duduk and reeds. The app runs fully on your device, with NO accounts and NO cloud requirement, so you can practise anywhere, even offline, and keep your data private. DudukPro is not a replacement for a good teacher or for reaching out to real musicians — it’s a tool to make your own practice time more focused, more informed and a little less frustrating. If you’re using this app, you are part of a very small, very passionate group of people who chose this instrument. Thank you for letting DudukPro be part of your practice.

This app plays sustained, hand-tuned drone notes that fill the room with deep ambient resonance. Pick any pitch across the full chromatic range and hold it as long as you need — no loops, no seams, just a perfectly steady note with warm overtones. Blend waveforms, soften the attack, and dial in detuned layers to shape the texture. Set a gentle fade timer and let a single tone carry you into stillness. Background audio, AirPlay, and headphones — your drone keeps glowing wherever you go. Perfect for meditation, breathwork, deep focus, sleep, and musical practice or tuning. — SUBSCRIPTION — Premium unlocks all features. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
