Personal Bests helps you discover your fastest efforts hidden inside your workouts. Most fitness apps only show totals: total distance, total time, average pace. Personal Bests goes deeper. It analyzes every workout in Apple Health and finds your fastest segments of any length, then ranks them across all your workouts and timeframes. Need to find your fastest 7K segment within the last year? Your fastest 1-mile effort ever, even if it happened in the middle of a longer run? Your best 500m row, 5K ride, or 1K swim? Personal Bests will find it. Segment-Based Personal Bests • Automatically finds your fastest segments for any distance you care about. • Works across running, cycling, walking, swimming, rowing, and more. • Segments don’t need to align with workout start or end — Personal Bests finds the fastest effort anywhere inside a workout. Custom Distances • Track exactly what matters to you. • Add any segment length: 400m, 1K, 7K, 10 miles, marathon, or anything else. • Set favorite segments per activity for quick access. Rankings Across Time • Rank your segments against all your workouts. • Filter rankings by timeframe: • All-time • Past year • Past months or weeks • Custom time windows • Instantly see where a workout ranks — 1st, top 10, or beyond. Detailed Segment Analysis • View segment results, rankings, and medals for each workout. • See which distance source was used (GPS route, Health statistics, or raw samples). • Export segment results or distance data as CSV for deeper analysis. Powerful Rankings View • Browse leaderboards by: • Segment (fastest times) • Duration (longest workouts) • Distance (farthest efforts) • Filter by activity type, timeframe, and segment length. • Quickly jump from rankings into the full workout details. Now on iPhone, iPad & Mac • Your segments and rankings sync securely through your own iCloud. • Widgets keep your latest personal bests on the Home Screen. • Background notifications alert you the moment you set a new best. • Optional, on-device AI summaries (Beta) give a quick recap of a workout. Flexible & Private • Uses your existing Apple Health data. • No third-party accounts — your data syncs privately through your own iCloud. • Analysis runs on-device. • You stay in full control of what’s included. Who Is This For? Personal Bests is built for athletes who care about performance, not just totals: • Runners tracking PRs at multiple distances • Cyclists comparing best efforts over time • Swimmers, rowers, and endurance athletes • Anyone who wants deeper insight into their training history If you’ve ever wondered “When was I actually at my fastest?”, Personal Bests is for you.
PBSplits

PBSplits is a free app that finds your fastest split at every standard distance across your run history. Most personal-best tools only know your finish times. If you've never raced a 5K, they think you've never done one. PBSplits looks inside each run and finds the fastest continuous window for every distance on the ladder, so the best 5K you ever ran shows up even if it was the middle 5K of a 12 K training jog. Three tabs, and it opens on the first. Runs is every run in your Health data — pull to refresh, tap any one to open it, even the ones that never hit a standard distance. Trends plots a distance over time, as pace or as finish time, with a year-over-year view to lay this season against the last. Bests is the record book: the ladder from 400 m to 100 K, grouped Short / Road / Ultra. Tap any effort and you get the whole run — the route on a map with the record-winning segment highlighted, a mile-by-mile splits table, and pace and elevation charts. Tap a split and its window lights up on the map and across the charts, so you can see exactly where you found the time. Season and all-time crowns mark the efforts that took a podium. Great for: • Runners who want PBs from training, not just races • Tracking progress over a season or a year • Finding the fastest you've ever covered a 5 K, 10 K, half, or marathon • Comparing efforts across short, road, and ultra distances • Anyone whose watch knows more than they do What you get: • Best-effort engine that finds your fastest continuous split at every distance, not whole-run averages • Full distance ladder from 400 m to 100 K, grouped Short / Road / Ultra • Every run, browsable: pull to refresh, and open runs that never hit a standard distance • Trend charts, progression and year-over-year, by pace or by time, pinch to zoom either axis • Mile-by-mile splits: tap a split to highlight its window on the map and the charts • Map view per effort, with the winning segment highlighted on the route • Season and all-time crowns on podium efforts • Share cards for a new PB, a podium, or your whole record book • Pick your pace units: min/km or min/mi • PBSplits reads your workouts from Apple Health and never writes to it • Your run data stays on your device Free to download — no subscription, no account.
