SC-300 is the identity exam, and it goes deep. It expects you to reason about Conditional Access assignments and controls, know when a managed identity beats a service principal, and understand what PIM activation actually enforces. Memorising blade names will not carry you. 800 QUESTIONS ACROSS THE FOUR SKILL AREAS • User Identities (192) — Entra roles and administrative units, tenant and domain configuration, users, groups and custom security attributes, device join and registration, external collaboration and cross-tenant access, and hybrid identity via Entra Connect Sync, Cloud Sync, PHS, PTA and seamless SSO • Authentication and Access (224) — the authentication methods policy, passkeys and FIDO2, certificate-based authentication, Temporary Access Pass, MFA, SSPR, Windows Hello for Business, then Conditional Access end to end: assignments, grant and session controls, report-only mode, What If, continuous access evaluation, authentication context, and Entra ID Protection risk policies • Workload Identities (192) — system- versus user-assigned managed identities, service principals, workload identity federation, app registrations, delegated versus application API permissions, consent, app roles, Application Proxy, and Defender for Cloud Apps • Identity Governance (192) — entitlement management catalogs and access packages, access reviews, PIM for roles, groups and Azure resources, break-glass accounts, and monitoring via sign-in and audit logs, diagnostic settings, KQL and Identity Secure Score WRITTEN FOR LEAST PRIVILEGE Role questions turn on which role is the least privileged that still does the job, because that is how Microsoft writes them and how you should be thinking anyway. Every explanation contrasts the key with the nearest wrong answer. This is defensive material throughout — configuration, policy and monitoring. There is no attack tooling here. STUDY TOOLS Filter by domain and difficulty, take timed quizzes, use flashcards, and let the app resurface what you got wrong on a spaced schedule. Per-domain progress shows whether Conditional Access or governance is the weak spot. FREE TO START Ten questions a day and a sample quiz at no cost. Pro unlocks unlimited practice, timed quizzes, the missed-questions bank, spaced repetition and flag-for-review. Everything stays on your device — no account, no analytics.
