Secluso vs HomeTend

Secluso is a private home security camera system for Raspberry Pi and Secluso hardware. Watch live video, get alerts, and view recordings from your iPhone without giving a cloud provider access to your footage. You can start today with your own Raspberry Pi and off-the-shelf parts. Secluso is built around end-to-end encryption. The camera encrypts video before it leaves your network, and the relay only transports encrypted data. You can self-host the open-source relay on your own VPS, or use hosted relay infrastructure without giving the relay access to your footage. Secluso Deploy gives you a guided setup path for preparing your Raspberry Pi, pairing it with the app, and setting up secure remote access. Secluso also includes on-device AI for alerts such as motion, person, pet, and vehicle detection. What you get: - End-to-end encrypted live view, alerts, and recordings - On-device AI with motion, person, pet, and vehicle alerts - Support for DIY Raspberry Pi cameras - Self-hosted or hosted relay options without giving the relay access to your footage - Open-source software you can inspect and self-host - Guided image building, QR-based pairing, and relay provisioning for easier setup

Stay ahead of home maintenance. HomeTend keeps a seasonal schedule of the recurring tasks your house needs, grouped by home system, and works out what is due next so nothing gets missed. Add a task, pick how often it repeats, and HomeTend tracks its next-due date for you. When you finish the work, log the service with the date, cost, and notes. That moves the schedule forward and adds to your upkeep history, so month after month you build a real record of what you did and what it cost. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Add recurring tasks by home system: HVAC, roof and exterior, plumbing, safety, and seasonal. - See a seasonal schedule with each task's next-due date, starting from the current season. - Get a reminder before each task is due, set per task with your own lead time. - Log completed service with the date, cost, and notes. - Review each home system's upkeep history and total spend. - Track a yearly upkeep cost summary with a simple chart. - Export your upkeep history as a PDF and your service log as a CSV.
