Vylos is a full-featured WireGuard VPN client built as a replacement for the official WireGuard app—for businesses, schools, and families managing Apple devices. Use your existing WireGuard server or configuration. Vylos does not provide VPN service. One-time purchase. No subscription. ~:~:~:~:~ FULL WIREGUARD EXPERIENCE Create tunnels manually or import .conf, .vylos, and .zip files. On iPhone and iPad, you can also scan QR codes. Connect automatically with On-Demand rules, switch between tunnels, edit configurations, and see live connection status across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. ADVANCED TUNNEL CONTROLS Use network-aware On-Demand rules, Split DNS, and an optional kill switch. Vylos explains whether a tunnel provides full-tunnel protection, restricted network access, or no outgoing routes, and warns when a DNS server falls outside the configured routes. BUILT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES AND SCHOOLS Deploy device-wide tunnels through configuration profiles, or pair Vylos with MDM for managed per-app routing. Managed tunnels appear automatically as read-only entries, and their WireGuard configuration is not exposed through the app interface. Use Managed App Configuration to control manual tunnel creation, access to settings, notifications, appearance, app icons, and supported device-integrity policies. Users can review the organization contact details and policies applied to their device. FLEXIBLE APP PROTECTION Use Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode for convenient internal access control. When app access should be governed independently of the device’s unlock credentials, protect Vylos with a separate six-digit code from an authenticator app. BUILT FOR FAMILIES—NO MDM REQUIRED Supervise your child’s device locally with Apple Configurator, install the WireGuard configuration, and protect Vylos with an authenticator code that you control. This gives parents local control without enrolling the device in an MDM service. INSIGHT, AUTOMATION, AND PORTABILITY Monitor traffic and bandwidth, receive connection notifications, and use Shortcuts or Spotlight to reach tunnels quickly. Export portable .conf or .vylos archives and, on supported platforms, preview tunnel files with Quick Look before importing them. FOR IT ADMINISTRATORS VPN configuration profiles deploy tunnels, while Managed App Configuration controls Vylos itself. These layers remain separate, so you can replace VPN profiles without rebuilding every app preference or update managed preferences without redistributing tunnel credentials. ~:~:~:~:~ Questions or feedback? Verdict
The clearest difference is price: VPNET at Free against Vylos's $4.99. VPNET also leads on rating (4.5 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (34 vs 3). Vylos's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 19%) and device support (4 vs 2). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

VPNET is free to download; Vylos costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
VPNET holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPNET has 34 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of VPNET's written reviews are positive against 50% of Vylos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
VPNET ships an update fortnightly, Vylos every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
