Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Poop Detect at none against WanderWay Navigation's 2. Poop Detect also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). WanderWay Navigation's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Poop Detect against 5.0 for WanderWay Navigation. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WanderWay Navigation has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Poop Detect ships an update every 6 weeks, WanderWay Navigation every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
