Dice World Challenge

One of a kind: here you don't pick a throw from a menu and you don't press a button. The shape of your swipe throws the dice. The chord of the gesture gives the direction. The curve of your wrist gives the spin. The speed gives the power. The app reads your finger two hundred times a second, and from there physics and the cushions decide: no two throws are alike, because no two gestures are. No number decided in advance, no canned animation. Two real dice on a felt and mahogany table, in a room of wood and warm light. Several cameras follow the throw, with slow motion and a replay of the last instant: the die settling and showing its face is the highlight. • It matters how you throw. The score weighs the cushions avoided, the spins completed, the distance travelled, how much the dice rolled instead of sliding, and how close they stayed. • One contest a day. From 00:00 to 24:00, a worldwide leaderboard with Game Center. Whoever wins the day is World Champion of the day — only one a day — and takes home the certificate with seal and serial number. • Just dice. A round table, one to ten dice, ten colours and materials: for when the dice have gone missing from the board game box. • Five Dice (thirteen boxes on the score sheet, three rolls a turn) and Ludo, also between nearby phones, with no internet. • Fifteen languages, switchable even mid-game. • No data collected: no account, no ads, no analytics. Free: ten practice throws a day and one leaderboard entry a day. Premium (one-time purchase): unlimited throws, three leaderboard entries a day, throw physics, the lab, the printable certificate and Top Dice Swipe (neon ribbons, sparks and cinema light in the race, unlocked after 30 throws).
