About

Anonymize Faces

Features

Most face-blur apps only blur. Anonymize Faces can do that too — but it can also generate a realistic replacement face with on-device AI, so a photo doesn't have to look "censored" to protect the people in it. Pick photos or video, review the faces it finds, and choose how to anonymize each one. Everything runs on your device — nothing is ever uploaded anywhere, and your original photos are never changed. Anonymized copies save to their own separate album. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Blur-only tools leave an obvious black box or mosaic behind. Realistic Face (Pro) uses on-device AI to generate a natural-looking replacement face instead — so the photo still reads as a real photo, not a redaction. HOW IT WORKS • Pick photos or video • Review the faces Anonymize Faces found — toggle any off, or draw a box by hand for anything else that needs covering: a face Vision missed, a license plate, an ID card, a document, a screen • Choose your style and save PIXELATE FACE (Free) Classic mosaic blur, plus Gaussian blur, solid block, eyes bar, and silhouette styles — every face gets its own full-strength coverage, whether it's the only one in the shot or one of a crowd. REALISTIC FACE (Pro) On-device AI generates a new, natural-looking face in place of the original — for when you want the photo to still look candid. BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY NEED PRIVACY Journalists protecting sources, protesters, parents, or anyone sharing photos with bystanders in them. • All detection and anonymization happens on your device — nothing is ever uploaded • Manual regions work on anything, not just faces — license plates, ID cards, documents, whiteboards, screens, or a face Vision missed • Originals are never modified — anonymized copies go to their own album • Location, timestamp, and device info are stripped from anonymized copies by default, or replaced with a location/date you choose (Pro) • Video anonymization in Mosaic, Blur, or Solid Block style, with optional voice distortion (Pro) — faces stay covered even if something briefly blocks them mid-clip. Eyes Bar and Silhouette are currently photos-only ANONYMIZE FACES PRO Unlock Realistic Face, on-device video face redaction and voice distortion, custom location/date metadata instead of stripping, and browse your anonymization history. Available as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription — see in-app pricing before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account; subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your Apple ID account settings.
