Take the helm of your starship and defend humanity’s last base against endless waves of enemy fleets. Space Defender – Pixel War is a fast-paced portrait space shooter that mixes classic arcade action with a modern upgrade system, orbiting turrets and powerful weapon power‑ups. Build your own defense grid. Unlock and upgrade satellites orbiting around your ship, boost damage, fire rate, range and armor. Every credit matters – your upgrade choices decide how far you can push through waves as difficulty ramps up. Collect weapon power‑ups and change your playstyle on the fly: a piercing laser beam, 5‑projectile spread shot, homing missiles or rapid fire with piercing bullets. Every few waves you’ll face unique bosses with their own movement and shooting patterns. Compete with friends and the world via Game Center. Track your best wave and total experience – after each good run you’ll see your leaderboard positions climb. Designed for short, intense sessions and one‑hand play with simple drag controls. Key features: - fast, portrait space shooter with classic arcade feel - enemy waves with escalating difficulty and boss fights - orbiting satellites/turrets around the player ship - deep upgrade system: damage, fire rate, range, armor, max HP - 4 weapon power‑ups (laser, spread shot, missiles, rapid fire) - Game Center leaderboards (highest wave and total XP)

Verdict
The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Snackdown at 13.0 against Space Defender's 26.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snackdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Space Defender sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
