Many media players are either powerful but expensive, or free but fragmented and restricted in everyday use. For light users, existing options often fail to balance functionality, experience, and cost. That is why I built Plynic — a cross-platform media player focused on providing a clean, efficient, and unified playback experience. Plynic does not aim to be overly complex. Instead, it is designed to help users easily play and manage the media they already own. [Why Choose Plynic] **Free and fully functional** Provides complete media playback and management features with no subscription required, suitable for everyday use. **Multiple connection options** Supports Emby, Jellyfin, SMB (local network sharing), IPTV, and other user-provided media sources. More connection options will be added over time. **Unified media management** Regardless of where your media comes from, it can be organized through favorites, playback history, and custom playlists, keeping your library clear and under control. **Consistent cross-platform experience** Maintains the same usage logic and interaction experience across platforms, reducing the learning curve. [Who It’s For] Light to moderate media users Users with personal media libraries Users who want one app to manage multiple media sources Users who prefer simplicity over complex configurations [Important Notice] Plynic does not provide, host, or distribute any media content. All media played within the app is provided by the user. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the legal rights to use their media.
