Time to Read
Read full descriptionHide full description
Read a little every day. Time to Read helps you build a daily reading habit: start a session with one tap, keep your streak going and watch your books fill a shelf. No ads, no tracking, no subscription. A HABIT, NOT A CHORE • Today shows your week at a glance. Every day with at least five minutes of reading counts for your streak. • Streak freezes: every seven days in a row earns you one, so one busy day doesn't break your streak (you can keep up to two). • A ring shows how many minutes are left for today's goal. • Reminders at the time you choose, and a nudge in the evening when your streak is waiting. A READING SESSION THAT STAYS OUT OF THE WAY • Tap "Read" and the timer starts, in a calm, dark full screen. • Pause, resume and end from the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island with the Live Activity. • At the end you enter the page you reached and see your daily goal and your streak. YOUR LIBRARY, YOUR SHELF • Find books by title, author or ISBN (Open Library, Google Books and the German National Library), or add them by hand. • Reading, Up next, Read: you always know what comes next. • Switch from covers to a bookshelf with real spines, as thick as the book. • Series: the app spots books that belong together and suggests the series. Missing volumes stand on the shelf as placeholders. QUOTES AND THOUGHTS • Keep quotes and your own thoughts with the page, during a session or any time. • Scan a sentence from the printed page with the camera (Live Text, in English, German and French). • Every book has its own notes page with your summary. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the app drafts it from your notes, on the device. • Share a quote as a picture. STATS AND YOUR READING YEAR • Week, month and year: minutes per day against your daily goal, a calendar of every reading day, and the time of day you read most. • Edit a session or add one you forgot. • Your Reading Year: five cards with your books, hours, reading days and longest streak, ready to share. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no ads, no tracking, no subscription. • Your library, sessions and notes stay on your device. The app goes online only to look up books and covers. • Back up everything to a file and restore it whenever you want. And Siri and Shortcuts: log reading time, set your daily goal, check your streak. Requires iOS 26.
