Purrfocus vs Wick

**Stop procrastinating. Your cat's life depends on it.** Purrfocus is a Pomodoro-style focus timer with a twist: 15 adorable cats are counting on you to stay focused. Abandon a session, and your cat loses a life. Lose all 9 lives, and... well, let's just say you'll feel terrible about it. **HOW IT WORKS** 1. Choose your cat companion from 15 life categories (Work, Study, Health, and more) 2. Set your focus duration (10-120 minutes) 3. Start focusing — no backing out now 4. Complete your session to strengthen your bond 5. Abandon your session and face the consequences **FEATURES** • 15 Unique Cats — Each represents a life category with its own personality and sass • 9 Lives System — Your cats start with 9 lives. Don't waste them. • Strict Mode — Leave the app during focus? Instant life lost. No mercy. • Focus Stats — Track your productivity (and your guilt) • Task Management — Organize what you're working on • Cloud Sync — Your progress follows you across devices • Dark Mode — For late-night focus sessions **THE GUILT-DRIVEN DIFFERENCE** Unlike other focus apps that let you quit consequence-free, Purrfocus makes you feel something. That sinking feeling when you see your cat's disappointed face? That's motivation. When a cat loses all 9 lives, you can revive them by: - Watching a short ad (brings them back with 1 life) - Completing 3 focus sessions with other cats (full revival) **A NOTE ON TONE** Purrfocus uses satirical, tongue-in-cheek language as part of its charm. When we say you "killed" your cat or that their soul is "held hostage," we're being playfully dramatic. All cats are fictional, all consequences are reversible, and we promise no actual animals were harmed in the making of this app. **PERFECT FOR** • Students who need accountability • Remote workers fighting distractions • Anyone who responds to guilt better than rewards • Cat lovers (obviously) **PRIVACY FIRST** • Works 100% offline • Optional cloud sync (your choice) • No tracking across apps or websites • No personal data sold. Ever. Download Purrfocus and discover what you're capable of when failure isn't an option. Your cats are waiting.

Some timers just count your minutes. Wick turns focus into a ritual you actually want to return to. Light a candle, name one honest intention, and begin. A little candle burns beside you while you work — put the phone face down, and the flame holds the time for you. When the session ends, you've made something real. MAKE FOCUS A RITUAL Choose Pomodoro, Flowtime, or a plain timer, then step into a warm candle room — no angry red numbers, no pressure. Just you and the next stretch of deep work. GUARD THE HOUR Turn on the Shield and Wick keeps distracting apps behind a gentle wall while you focus — a breath of friction, never a cage. There's always an exit for you. ONE HONEST INTENTION A DAY Skip the endless to-do list. Name what matters, give it your full flame, and let the rest wait its turn. ONLY COUNTS THE FIRE THAT WAS REAL Wick logs the focus you truly gave — nothing padded, nothing faked. Watch small flames add up on your almanac, one focused day at a time, and keep a streak worth keeping. YOURS ALONE No account. No sign-up. No tracking. Everything runs on your device. Wick is free to use. Wick Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription — that unlocks deep-guard mode, candle skins, ambient sounds, and more themes.
