Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Enroad at none against TripRank's shown. Enroad also leads on ratings volume (6.7K vs 11) and chart position (#107 vs unranked). TripRank's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 24%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Enroad sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and TripRank sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Enroad holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Enroad has 6.7K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Enroad's written reviews are positive against 50% of TripRank's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Enroad ships an update every 10 days, TripRank weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
