Yaqzah — يقظة — Awakening The Fajr alarm for those who are trying to hold onto their prayer, and who cannot bear another morning of missing it. Standard alarms don't work for Fajr. You dismiss them half-asleep and wake at 8 AM with regret. Yaqzah is built differently. WHAT MAKES YAQZAH DIFFERENT - A siren that ignores the silent switch. Yaqzah rings through Focus modes and stays audible while your phone is locked. - Reorganizing three chapters is the only way to stop it. Tap the verses of three short chapters (Al-Fatiha, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas) in the correct order. Three different chapters every wake-up, picked at random. Get one wrong, the alarm keeps going. - Fajr times computed for your exact location, recalculated every night. No manual updates. - A Yaqzah-branded lock screen alarm, not iOS's generic banner. You will know it is your Fajr calling. - The moment you leave the challenge screen without completing it, dense notifications fire every ten seconds for the next ten minutes. Backgrounding the app is not an escape. - Set a recurring alarm once. Yaqzah re-arms itself every night for tomorrow's Fajr until you tell it to stop. - Emergency bypass exists for genuine emergencies. It requires typing a long acknowledgement paragraph to prevent casual snoozing. WHY YAQZAH EXISTS It is easy to say we should pray Fajr. It is harder when you are a student, a night worker, a new parent, or living where Fajr comes at 3 AM in summer. Yaqzah is built for the person who genuinely wants to pray but cannot rely on their body or Apple's Clock to wake them. WHAT YAQZAH IS NOT Not a prayer time app that just displays times. Not a general alarm clock with Islamic branding sprinkled on. Not a shame machine. WHAT YAQZAH IS An alarm that treats waking up for Fajr as the priority — the way you would if you could. COMING SOON - Buddy accountability. You see if your friend prayed. They see if you did. - Voice recitation as an alternative to tapping. - Multiple Adhan sound options. - Community Fajr streak with your mosque group. Sign in with Apple to sync your alarm and streak across devices, or use Yaqzah on-device with no account. If Yaqzah wakes you tomorrow, keep it. If it does not, delete it. "O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient." — Quran 2:153
