MegaWifi Uploader is a single-screen iPhone tool for flashing ROM images to a MegaWifi cartridge over Wi-Fi. Boot the Sega Genesis with the wflash WiFi loader on the cartridge, type its IP into the app, pick a ROM, tap Connect, then Write. The ROM is on the cart in seconds, the game runs from the next power cycle, and no USB programmer is involved. WHAT IT DOES - Connects to a MegaWifi cartridge running the wflash WiFi loader over plain TCP on your local network (default port 1989). - On-device ROM library. Every ROM in the app's Documents folder is indexed and CRC32-matched against a bundled segaretro.org database of 1,640+ Mega Drive releases, so a file named "Crystal_Pony_Tale_USA_Beta.7z" appears as "Crystal's Pony Tale" with region U and year 1994. - Sort and filter by title, year, size, or filename. Region chips (All / U / E / J), a Retail-only toggle that hides bootlegs and prototypes, a favorites star with swipe-action add/remove, and a search bar that narrows the list as you type. - Pick any ROM iOS can see: Files, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box. Files sent as Mail or Messages attachments can be opened directly from the share sheet. - Reads bare ROMs (.bin, .md, .gen, .smd, .32x) and unpacks .zip, .7z, .rar, and .gz archives entirely in memory. The archive's per-file CRC32 is verified before a single byte reaches the cartridge. - Drives the documented wflash wire protocol end-to-end: BLOADER_START, automatic ROM-header patch so the cartridge still boots wflash on power-cycle, ERASE, chunked PROGRAM at 64 KB at a time, AUTORUN. - Pre-flight ROM checks: 8 MB size cap and a SEGA-magic header sanity check warn you about non-standard images before they're flashed. - Four-octet IP entry with auto-advance, paste-of-full-IP support, and the last cartridge address remembered across launches. - Connect opens a TCP socket with a 5-second timeout, so a dead IP fails fast. WHAT YOU NEED - A MegaWifi flash cartridge for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive (doragasu's mw-mdma-fw plus an ESP-WROOM-02 or ESP32-C3 Wi-Fi module). - The wflash WiFi loader ROM (mw-wflash) burned to the cartridge once. - A Wi-Fi network the cartridge and your iPhone can both see. The cartridge prints its IP on the TV when wflash boots. PRIVACY No outbound internet connections. No analytics, telemetry, advertising, or data collection of any kind. The only network traffic the app ever generates is the plain TCP socket to the IP you typed. All in-app state lives entirely on your device and is removed when you uninstall.
