Generate and collect thousands of cards. Hunt the ultra-rares almost no one will ever own. Every card rolls two independent rarities, so there are 1,000 normal cards and 1,000 holographic Shinies to chase, 2,000 in all. The rarest are rarer than 1 in a million to pull. And every card has a 1 in 50 shot at being Shiny. GENERATE & DISCOVER Create new cards on a timer, then watch each one reveal. The rarity climbs as the card comes into focus, and the rarer it lands, the bigger the moment. HUNT SHINIES Every Shiny is holographic and 50 times rarer than its normal version. Completing the Shiny set is the ultimate flex. BID, DEAL & SELL Outbid real players in live auctions to snag the cards you're missing, grab limited daily deals, and sell your spare eggs back to the game for coins. JOIN A CLUB Team up with other collectors, pool your finds, and win weekly club bounties together. NO ADS Not one. Ever. Think you can beat the odds? Start your collection today.

Most traffic games ask you to fix the jam. Gridlock asks you to cause it. Gridlock is an idle traffic tycoon: tap to honk, hire the worst drivers in the city, and watch the street fill up until it's bumper to bumper and every brake light is glowing. Your jam keeps growing even while you're away. HIRE THE GRIDLOCK • Confused Tourists checking the GPS mid-lane • Double-Parked Delivery Trucks with the hazards on ("just two minutes") • Fender Benders: nobody's hurt, everybody's filming • Pothole Repair Crews: one guy working, four watching • Rubbernecker Convoys, School Buses and full Parades • The Presidential Motorcade, which shuts down the whole city Everything you hire shows up on the street. The more you own, the tighter the jam. GET ADDICTED TO THE JAM • Milestones double a crew's output at 10, 25, 50, 100 and beyond • Road Rage: tap fast enough and every honk is worth 5× • The Lucky Cab: catch the gold taxi for a jackpot or a traffic frenzy • Dozens of upgrades, from Louder Horn to Global Gridlock • Keeps jamming while you're away END RUSH HOUR When your jam peaks, end Rush Hour. The streets clear, but you earn Notoriety. Spend it on permanent perks: start with a fleet already on the road, triple your horn, summon more Lucky Cabs, keep jamming through the night. NEW GOALS EVERY DAY Three fresh daily challenges, a daily toll streak, and Game Center leaderboards to prove you're the most notorious driver in town. DRIVE IN STYLE Earn a Tow Truck, an Ice Cream Truck and a Stretch Limo by playing, or pick up a Motorcycle, School Bus, Monster Truck or Ambulance. Each one has its own horn and tap animation. No account needed. Progress syncs with iCloud.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Shellkeep at none against Gridlock's shown. Shellkeep also leads on ratings volume (31 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Gridlock's advantage is update cadence (daily vs weekly) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shellkeep sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Gridlock sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Shellkeep against 5.0 for Gridlock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shellkeep has 31 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Shellkeep's written reviews are positive against 100% of Gridlock's.
Shellkeep ships an update weekly, Gridlock daily. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
