Real German voices. Real conversations. Stories you actually want to finish. Yabo takes you from A1 to C1 through short German stories and everyday dialogues — every one recorded by real German voice actors, not text-to-speech. Read along while you listen, tap any word for an instant translation, and turn the words you keep forgetting into flashcards you will actually review. WHAT YOU GET • Hundreds of German stories and conversations at A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 • Real human audio on every text — no robotic voices • Read-and-listen mode: follow the text while a native speaker reads it • Tap-to-translate any word or full sentence, instantly • Save any word, phrase or sentence to your own flashcard deck • Spaced repetition that brings a card back right before you would forget it • Flashcard games: matching, listening quiz, word building and speed rounds • AI conversation practice — work through a dialogue with an AI partner • A comprehension quiz after every story • Offline mode: download stories and audio for the train, the plane or a weak signal • Progress tracking, daily streaks and a five-minute daily goal WHO IT IS FOR • Complete beginners starting German at A1 • A2 and B1 learners who read fine but freeze when a native speaks • B2 and C1 learners who need real input, not more grammar rules • Anyone preparing for Goethe-Zertifikat A1, A2 or B1 • People moving to Germany, Austria or Switzerland for work, study or family • Learners who finished a course app and still cannot follow a real conversation WHY STORIES WORK Grammar drills teach you about German. Stories teach you German. Every text sits just above your level, so you understand most of it and stretch for the rest — and the words stick, because they arrived attached to a scene, a joke, or an argument at a bakery. HOW A SESSION LOOKS Pick your level, pick a topic — travel, work, daily life, family. Read the story while the audio plays. Tap what you do not know. Take the quiz. Beat one flashcard game. Five to ten minutes and you are done. FREE AND PREMIUM Yabo is free to download and includes free stories at every level, the flashcard system and the games. YABO Premium unlocks the full library of stories and conversations, offline audio downloads and unlimited flashcards.
