Spiders are marching down three lanes toward your base. You have three kinds of robot and six pads to put them on. That's the whole setup, and it's plenty to lose a few times on. Drag a Tank onto a front pad and it holds that lane. Spiders stop to chew on it, and the rest of the wave bunches up behind. Shooters cover their own lane and the ones next door. Snipers can hit anything on the field from anywhere, and they hit hard. Every robot costs energy and has a cooldown, so you can't just flood the screen. Put a Shooter, a Tank and a Sniper on pads that touch and they link. The squad fires faster, and the Tank takes half the damage meant for the other two. You'll see a glowing triangle join them. Kills fill the Fever meter. When it's full and your squad is linked, tap the triangle to fire the Overdrive beam. It sweeps the lanes your squad is standing in and stuns the boss. It won't fire into an empty lane, so watch the spiders and wait until they're actually in it. What's in the game • 12 sectors, each with its own lane layout and a boss at the end. Finish one without the base getting hit and you earn three stars. • Endless mode with a best-wave record. A boss turns up every 40 seconds and drops a supply crate. • Chips fall from every kill. Tap one while it's still in the air and you bank double. Spend them in the Salvage Shop, or pick one of three upgrades from a supply drop. There are 13 upgrades in all. • Tap a card and the game picks a pad for you, or drag it where you want it. Drop the same class on a robot you already have to reinforce it. • From sector 4 on, the spiders shoot back. • A short training mission teaches holding, linking and the beam by letting you play it. Skip it if you like. The ? button brings it back. About the ads: one can show up when you leave a finished run, never in the middle of a fight. After an Endless boss you can choose to watch one to double that boss's chips. There are no purchases and no account.
