Say goodbye to wet notebooks and scribbled calculations. Bedford’s Piping Toolkit is the all-in-one digital companion built specifically for professional pipefitters, welders, and fabricators. Whether you are in the fab shop or on a remote site, this toolkit puts every essential calculation and reference chart right in your pocket. Designed with a high-contrast dark mode for low-light environments and large, easy-to-tap buttons for gloved hands. This tool does exactly what it says it does, no ads, no premium, just your tool. If this tool helps you verify just one tricky offset or prevents one bad cut in the field, it has paid for itself ten times over. KEY FEATURES: Advanced ISO Builder Visualize complex pipe runs in seconds. • Input simple directions (North, South, Up, Down) to auto-generate clean isometric drawings. • Visualize Rolling Offsets automatically. • Add fittings like Flanges, Valves, and Eccentric Reducers with simple codes. • Perfect for verifying drawings or sketching field runs to show colleagues. Essential Calculators Stop doing trigonometry on the back of your hand. • Fixed Point Angles: Solves quadratic formula for angles A-B accounting for elbow takeoffs. • Right Angle Triangle Solver: Instantly solve travel, set, and run. • Lateral Branch Calculator: Precise layout math for branching pipes. • Pipe Arc Radius: Calculate arc lengths and radii for custom bends. • Thermal Expansion: Predict pipe growth based on material and temperature changes to prevent stress fractures. Field Reference & Utilities • Metric Bolt Torque: accurate torque specifications for various flange sizes and grades. • Purge Calculator: Calculate exact purge times and volumes for welding, saving gas and time. • Yaw Tool: Quickly determine orientation and rotation angles. • Reference Formulas: A quick-access library of standard pipefitting formulas. What Else This App Offers • 100% Offline: No internet connection required. It works wherever the job takes you. • Dark Mode Native: Saves battery and prevents glare in dark work areas. • Privacy First: No tracking, no accounts, no cloud sync. Your data stays on your device. XPipe Pro works out the numbers a pipefitter needs on the bench and draws the part they belong to, so the figure on screen and the shape in your hands agree. Every answer comes with a scale drawing of that exact assembly, dimensioned where you would put a tape on it — not a stock diagram of something similar. 35 CALCULATORS Assembly and layout: • Two half elbows in one axis — two half elbows in one plane, with or without an insert, solved six ways. • Rolled elbow — a 90° elbow turned about its inlet and a fitting that lays the run flat again, same six ways. • 3D run — a line across X, Y and Z, both angles solved separately, with the box you measure drawn around the pipe. • Elbow cut — an odd angle on an elbow: take-out, heel and throat arcs, chords, heights, and the arcs to mark back from the face you have. • Segmented elbow — a bend from straight pipe: segment lengths, saw angle, and the wave to wrap round the tube to mark the cut. • Branch / fishmouth — one pipe into another, square or skew: length to cut, set-back at up to 24 stations, and the hole in the run. • Eccentric branch — the same joint with axes set apart, each side marked on its own. • Elbow support — a tube cut to stand under a bend, off a torus seat, not a cylinder. • Cone layout — the flat sector for a full or truncated cone, with sheet size, area and volume. • Square-to-round transitions — twelve pieces off one construction, plus a pipe into a pyramid. • Pipe bank — several lines offset together: how far to hold each fitting back so the spacing holds through the slant. Shop and welding: • Dished head — blank diameter and knuckle allowance for hemispherical, elliptical or torispherical heads. • Fillet weld — throat, leg and weld metal for a or z, so a6 and z6 are never mixed up. • Reducer cut, purge gas, slope, pipe mass, pressure test, thermal expansion, cold spring, weld prep, shrinkage, flange studs, support spacing, and a scientific calculator with a full expression parser. WELDER QUALIFICATIONS AND PWHT (NEW IN 2.0) ISO 9606-1 and ASME IX certificates with their range worked out, renewal dates, reminders and a photo. PWHT under ASME B31.3: whether a weld needs it, the temperature and time, and which condition is missing to skip it. PIPE ISOMETRICS Draw a line as you set it out: a direction, a length, the next direction. Elbows and tees place themselves; add valves, flanges, reducers and supports. ISO 6412 symbols, elevations and centre-to-centre dimensions, a bill of materials, and a cut list that flags a take-out it does not know rather than guess it. Out as an A4 or A3 PDF, or as a link another fitter opens. A STANDARDS LIBRARY SEARCHED BY SIZE Type a dimension on its own — 53 — and the library returns every standard that tabulates it, saying why: "in the table · DN 50 · Ø53 × 1.5". A drawing quoting a superseded code like DIN 2463 finds the ISO 1127 that replaced it. 98 standards across PN-EN, DIN, ISO, SMS and ASME — pipe and flange tables among them — plus 239 isometric and drawing symbols from ISO 6412, ISO 4067, ISA-5.1 and related standards. FROM SCREEN TO STEEL Cone, transition, branch and segmented-elbow patterns export at 1:1 — as DXF a plasma table opens directly, or as A4 sheets with a printed ruler, catching a rescaled page before the steel does. MADE FOR THE JOB • A spirit level built in, for when the real one is in the van • Work sorted into jobs — one button makes a finished job a PDF sheet • One backup file for the whole history — no account, no server of ours • Millimetres or inches everywhere, at the precision you choose • 24 languages, switch without restarting, Urdu and Arabic right to left • iPhone and iPad NO ADS. NO TRACKING. NO ACCOUNT. XPipe Pro contains no network code at all. Nothing is collected or uploaded, and it works in flight mode at the bottom of a tank. XPipe Pro is a calculating aid, not a substitute for judgement or the drawings and standards a job is built to. Always check a figure on the steel.
