one elsewhere vs playfullynow

one elsewhere is a quiet focus practice disguised as a space flight. Start a session, put your phone down, and stay away from the screen. While you don’t interact with your phone, the flight continues. When you return, the session ends. There’s nothing to manage, nothing to optimize, and nothing to check. Just uninterrupted time — and the habit of choosing focus. Why it works one elsewhere doesn’t try to make you productive. It removes interaction and replaces it with a single, simple rule: stay present. By repeating short sessions of uninterrupted time, you gradually build a real focus habit — one that transfers beyond the app. What you get • One-tap start with a short countdown • Time and virtual distance as a metaphor for progress • Achievements that mark consistency and milestones • Simple stats to reflect on your focus sessions • Unlockable ships to personalize the experience • A minimal, calm interface designed to fade into the background Use one elsewhere while working, studying, reading, writing, training — or anytime you want to be fully present without distractions. Put your phone down. Go elsewhere.

This app isn’t about using your phone less. It’s about seeing your time away from your phone add up. How to use it? Lock your phone from the app, then unlock back into it to see your time away add up. Or just stay on and watch every second add up. Tap or swipe anywhere for a minimal view. Earn a Trophy for any uninterrupted 2+ hours session away from your phone. Earn a Finisher Flag for 2+ hours away in a day, across any number of sessions. The app also shows your potential - how much life you could take back by the end of the year if your longest stretch today kept going.
