Samt is a simple Qibla compass that shows you the direction of the Kaaba in Makkah before prayer, wherever you are. The name comes from samt al-qibla — the term Muslim astronomers have used for a thousand years for the exact bearing of the Qibla. Samt carries that heritage into a clean, considered design for everyday use. HOW IT WORKS Open the app, allow location access, hold your iPhone flat, and turn slowly until the indicator aligns with the Qibla. The interface is intentionally clear and focused — there are no unrelated features to navigate through. USE SAMT • At home or in an unfamiliar building • While traveling • In hotels, airports, offices and outdoor spaces • Whenever the Qibla direction is unclear BUILT ON TRUST • Great-circle bearing calculated from your exact location • Works offline — in the desert, on a plane, anywhere • No ads and no account required • Private by design: your location never leaves your device A NOTE ON ACCURACY Compass readings depend on your device sensors and your surroundings. For the best result, keep your phone away from magnets, metal objects, speakers and other electronics, and calibrate when the app asks you to.
