Rav-Milon is a popular series of comprehensive, multi-dictionary books designed for serious students learning Hebrew, offering detailed entries, modern usage, idioms, abbreviations, and subject-specific vocabulary in Hebrew and English (and also available in other languages like French and Russian). It's known for its depth in reflecting modern Hebrew, including colloquialisms, scientific terms, and media expressions, making it a valuable resource for language acquisition. “Rav Milon is a joint effort based on our collective experience in the Hebrew Studies Unit and the Foreign Language Unit at Tel Aviv University. Our hope is that it will assist learners of Hebrew in the process of acquiring the language and absorbing the culture which it represents.” (Edna Lauden, Liora Weinbach) Rav Milon is a comprehensive dictionary. It is comprised of a wide range of entries, expressions, and idioms which reflect the multifaceted linguistic inventory of modern Hebrew. It includes colloquial language, literary and metaphorical usages, scientific terms, and updated expressions used by the media. As a learners’ dictionary, Rav Milon’s most valued asset lies in its structure and the abundance of relevant information which accommodate the specific needs of the beginner as well as the advanced student. This application consists of: Definitions and examples – Simple definitions accompany each entry, and the examples stem from contemporary daily usage. They serve as a model for active use in addition to the passive understanding of the words. Spelling and vocalization – The entries are introduced once without vowel marks, followed by a fully vocalized spelling in order to aid the reader in pronouncing the words properly. Elsewhere in the definition and the expressions, vocalization is marked only when needed. Stress – Words in which the stress is penultimate (which constitute a minor lexical group) are marked above the relevant syllable. All others, which are stressed on the last syllable, are not marked for this feature. Verbs – Verbs are listed in the third person past tense. Following the definition and example, additional verbal forms are presented together with their requisite prepositional and accusative forms (if such exist). The root form and the binyan (verbal paradigm) are also included. Nouns – Nouns are listed in the singular masculine form, followed by grammatical gender. The plural form is given next to the word in brackets. Adjectives are presented in the singular masculine form. At the bottom of each entry are the feminine and plural forms. The translation – The translation takes into account the special problems of the native speaker of English in his/her encounter with Hebrew as a second or foreign language. It offers an effective tool for clarifying the precise meaning of the words. Appendices – These include the following: thematic lists of words, an interpersonal communication lexicon, medical terms, tradition, holidays, and easy-to-search useful sentences for any occasion. Written by university lecturers with decades of experience, this application draws on the successful teaching of Hebrew to tens of thousands of students. This application is built to help you succeed learning Hebrew!

Most people use AI every day. Almost no one understands how it actually works. Axon teaches you AI from the ground up — the math, the intuition, and the systems behind modern models. Learn linear algebra, probability, calculus, gradients, backpropagation, transformers, and more through short, interactive lessons designed for real understanding, not memorization. INTERACT WITH THE MATH, DON’T JUST READ IT Every concept is hands-on. Drag a gradient and watch the loss change. Adjust a weight and see predictions shift in real time. Step through a neural network layer by layer. You learn by doing — in just five minutes a day. BUILT FOR MACHINE LEARNING. NOTHING ELSE. No generic computer science filler. No hand-waving past the difficult parts. Axon focuses on the ideas that actually matter in machine learning — and explains them clearly, without oversimplifying. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN Math Foundations Vectors, matrices, derivatives, probability, softmax, and the core math behind ML Core Machine Learning Regression, gradient descent, loss functions, overfitting, evaluation, and optimization Neural Networks Perceptrons, backpropagation, CNNs, activations, and optimizers Transformers & LLMs Attention, embeddings, tokenization, prompting, and transformer architecture Frontier AI RAG, AI agents, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and modern workflows Practical Skills Classical algorithms, MLOps, and hands-on capstone projects MEET TENSOR Your guide is an undertrained model that somehow became sentient. Tensor is fluent in math, slightly confused by humans, and always focused on helping you learn. STAY CONSISTENT Daily streaks, XP, and global leaderboards turn consistency into momentum.
