Set a daily requirement, pick how it's verified, and stay accountable. Go head-to-head, rally a group, or fly solo — every oath is free. Challenge types • 1v1: Go head-to-head with a friend — whoever keeps up the daily requirement comes out on top • Contest: Group challenge — everyone competes to complete their goal and keep their streak alive • Solo: Challenge yourself — build a streak, no pressure, just discipline Verifications • LeetCode: Automatically verifies daily problem completion (when connected) • Gym Check-in: Verify by checking in at your selected gym location • Running: Track your distance via Strava (when connected) • GitHub: Verify public commits and pull requests • Wake-Up Check: Confirm you're awake during your set window How it works 1. Create an oath: choose your verification, requirement, and duration 2. Invite a friend and both accept — or go solo 3. Complete the daily requirement before the deadline 4. Keep your streak alive and see who follows through Every oath on Oath is free. Build the discipline, share the wins, and stay accountable with the people who keep you going.

For most of us, deadlines are the only thing that make us focus. That's why we procrastinate on what matters to us and struggle to do the things no one tells us to do. No one forces you to go to the gym, read, or put down your phone, and that's why it's hard. Commit turns those intentions into goals with real deadlines and proof you actually did them. Here's how it works: 1. Set the goal and how often you want to do it. 2. Choose how you'll prove it. 3. An AI coach grades your evidence against your own criteria and the leniency you set: lenient, moderate, or strict. 4. Miss one, and you have 4 days to appeal the verdict. Ways to prove it: - A photo or video (optionally camera-only, so nothing can come from your library) - A barcode scan - A GPS check-in at a real place - Apple Health data - A time-lapse of the whole session - A live screen recording - App blocking via Screen Time settings APP BLOCKING: Block the apps that take your day. Set a daily limit per app, a number of free openings, or block them outright on the days you choose. Your coach can grant an exception when your own rules allow one. NEVER SLEEP IN AGAIN An alarm goal keeps ringing until you submit your evidence. You can lock the app so it can't be deleted mid-ring. YOU SET THE DIFFICULTY Fully customize how strict the AI grader is. You can lock the strictness so you don't weasel out in the future. FULLY PRIVATE Your data is kept private and never sold. By default your evidence is stored so you and your coach can look back on it. Turn on private mode and your photos, videos, and time-lapses are deleted the moment they're graded. We keep the verdict, not the footage. A free account gives you 2 active goals with every kind of proof, the full AI coach, friends, and app blocking. Commit Premium removes the goal limit and lets the coach schedule your reminders for you. Try it out with a 14 day free trial. Terms of Use: https://commitcontracts.com/terms-of-service.html

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Oath at none against Commit's 2. Oath also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Commit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Oath asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Oath against 5.0 for Commit. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oath has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
