Inks
Read full descriptionHide full description
In Inks, you can write a letter just for yourself. Write down something that happened today, a thought that suddenly came to mind, or words you’re not ready to say aloud. When you’re done, the letter is saved on your device. It isn’t sent to anyone automatically. If you ever want to share it, that’s your choice. When you open a letter, you see the finished version first. If you want to return to the time you wrote it, you can choose to replay how the words came together. You can keep it to words, or add photos and drawings. Choose stationery and stickers, and add a stamp to the envelope. If you’re not sure where to begin, browse Ideas and start with a prompt. By default, letter content stays on your device. Signing in does not automatically upload it as a cloud backup. Inks also offers an app lock, hidden letters, and local encryption for you to use when needed. Subscriptions Inks offers monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions, as well as a one-time purchase option. Available plans, trial offers, and prices are shown on the App Store purchase screen. Payment is charged to your Apple Account after you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless you turn off auto-renewal beforehand. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. If you cancel, your benefits remain available until the end of the current subscription period. Ask a Page is a small book that answers you. Choose a chapter if you like — Love, Work, Study or Self — then write your question, say it, or simply keep it in mind. Push the cover open with your finger, and the book falls open to a single line printed on paper. The book doesn’t decide for you, and it doesn’t predict anything. Each line is a pause: a small nudge, a gentler way to look, a reason to wait. Often the answer you notice is your own. A PAGE IN THE LIGHT OF THE MOMENT • The light in the room follows the time of day — dawn, day, dusk and night, with a desk lamp and a moonlit window after dark. • Wind, rain, a storm, snow: the weather changes from day to day, made right on your phone. • 156 original lines written for this book: the whole book, plus four chapters. KEEP WHAT MATTERS • Keep a page, and note how it felt and what you’d answer yourself — in the margin, like notes in a real book. • Days later, come back to it. The screen returns to the light of that day, and you can add what you think now. • Share a page as a quiet card, only when you choose to. MAKE IT YOUR BOOK • Seven jackets and papers, all included. • A bookplate on the flyleaf, with your name. QUIET BY DESIGN • Free for the first three days you open the book, as many pages as you like. After that, unlock the whole book once: no subscription, no ads, no limit on pages. • No account. Everything stays on this iPhone. Hold-to-speak turns your voice into text on the device and never saves or uploads it. • Back up your pages to a file and bring them to a new phone. In English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, Korean, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian and Arabic. Ask a Page is for reflection, not advice, and isn’t a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial help. If a question touches on life and death, the book won’t turn a page; it shows where to find someone to talk to.
