EarRing

Ear Ring is ear training built for real playing, not multiple-choice quizzes. Listen to a prompt, then sing or play it back on your own instrument โ the app listens through your microphone and tells you, note by note, whether you got it right. How it works: Pick Random Notes for open-ended pitch practice, or Diatonic Arpeggios to drill triads built from your chosen key and scale โ major, minor, or diminished quality follows the scale automatically. Choose your key, scale (Major, Natural Minor, Dorian, or Mixolydian), note range, and how many notes make up each test. Tap Start, and the app plays a chord to set the key, then the test sequence. Play it back. Correct notes turn green on the staff; wrong notes turn red and the app replays the same test so you can try again โ no fumbling with buttons mid-exercise. Built for real instruments: Works with piano, guitar, saxophones, trumpet, and clarinet, with correct transposition so you always see notes written the way your instrument reads them. A live tuner-style meter and note-detection tuning (sensitivity, stability, warm-up) let you dial in your microphone for reliable pitch detection. Track your progress: Every session and every test is saved โ see your streak, your average score, and drill into any past session's note-by-note results. Make it yours: Adjust tempo, retry limits, wrong-note pause, the intro sound before each test, key signature display, and more, all in Settings.
