MacroLog is a calorie and macro tracking app for iPhone and iPad that logs a meal from a photo, a barcode, your voice, or a search — and it works without an account. FOUR WAYS TO LOG A MEAL • Photo: point the camera at your plate; the AI names the dish and estimates the portion, and you confirm or adjust the grams before it is saved • Barcode: scan packaged food and pull its nutrition label • Voice or text: say or type what you ate and it is parsed into entries • Search: 10,000+ foods in the in-app database, plus your own saved meals and recipes MACROS, NOT JUST CALORIES • Protein, carbs, and fat with daily goals and progress bars • 12 micronutrients, water, and weight in the same diary • Calorie goals from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, adjusted for your activity level and whether you want to lose, maintain, or gain • Steps and active energy are read from Health for display only — walking more never quietly raises your calorie budget • Streaks, a day-by-day timeline, home-screen widgets, and a Live Activity MADE FOR • People who track protein, not only calories • Lifters and gym-goers working to a daily protein target • Anyone who wants to log a meal today without creating an account • Small, frequent meals that are easy to forget — photo logging takes one tap • English and Polish speakers (the app and macrolog.co are fully bilingual) YOURS, AND PORTABLE • No account, no sign-up: tracking starts on first launch • Your diary lives in a local database on the device; cloud backup and multi-device sync are there when you want them • The diary, your history, and the local food list work with no connection; photo, voice, and barcode lookups need one • Two-way Apple Health sync and CSV/JSON export — your data leaves as easily as it arrives FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How accurate is AI photo recognition? Treat it as an informed estimate, not a measurement. The AI reads what is on the plate and guesses portion size from the image; you can edit grams, swap the matched food, or split a plate into separate items. For packaged food, the barcode scanner reads the printed label instead of estimating. Do I need an account to use MacroLog? No. There is no sign-up screen. You set your goals and start logging; the diary is stored on your device, and cloud backup uses an anonymous device identity if you turn it on. Does MacroLog work offline? The diary, your history, and the on-device food list work without a connection. AI photo logging, voice logging, and barcode lookups call out to a server, so those need one. Is MacroLog free? Yes, with a free tier: manual food search, unlimited barcode scanning, macro tracking, streaks, and a limited number of AI trials. Pro adds unlimited AI photo, voice, and text logging, recipe suggestions, micronutrient tracking, and data export. How are my calorie and macro goals calculated? From the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for your basal metabolic rate, multiplied by your activity level and adjusted for a lose, maintain, or gain goal. It is a starting estimate you can override at any time, and it is not medical advice. Does it sync with Apple Health? Yes. MacroLog writes calories, macros, micronutrients, water, and weight to Apple Health, and reads weight, steps, and active energy back. Steps are shown for context only and never change your calorie target. Does it work for keto, vegan, or intermittent fasting? You can set your own macro split and log whenever you eat, so any of those fit. MacroLog does not hand you a diet plan or a coach — it tracks what you actually ate. Where does barcode nutrition data come from? Packaged-food data comes from OpenFoodFacts, a community-maintained product database. If a product is missing or wrong, you can enter or correct it yourself. Terms of Use (EULA): https://macrolog.co/terms

Most calorie apps hand you a goal from a formula and never check if it works. MacroStack checks every week. It compares what you logged against how your weight actually moved, reveals what your body really burns, and retunes your goal. THE ADAPTIVE ENGINE A textbook formula can only guess your metabolism, and your metabolism changes as you diet. A static goal quietly stops working. MacroStack treats your own results as the source of truth: - Revealed TDEE: the calories your body actually burns, computed from your logs and weigh-ins - Weekly recalibration that adjusts your goal and explains every change in plain language - A weight trend that smooths daily scale noise into a line you can trust - A forecast of where you are heading once enough data lands - Steady when the data says steady. No random goal churn. Cutting, bulking, or maintaining, it works the same way: your results drive your targets. TRACK FAST - 480,000+ foods, searchable offline - Barcode scanner - Popular restaurant items built in - Custom foods and recipes - Today at a glance: progress ring, remaining calories, and a bar for every macro - Home screen widgets and streaks AI FOOD SCANNER No label and no barcode? Point the camera at your plate and get calorie and macro estimates in seconds. AI NUTRITION COACH Ask what to eat. The coach answers with your numbers in front of it: remaining calories, protein gap, current goal. Meal ideas, weekly meal plans, and progress summaries grounded in your actual data. FASTING, IF YOU WANT IT An optional fasting timer with eating window reminders. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no signup. Your log lives on your device and works offline. Export anytime, with encrypted backups when you want them. Set a goal, log your food, step on the scale. The engine does the rest.
