Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CrossPoint Sync at none against Speed Reading's 1. CrossPoint Sync also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Speed Reading's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.
