Plan your day in time blocks, keep your daily habits, and close each day by hand. One promise a day, with friends who keep you honest. HOW IT WORKS Make the promise. Name the one thing you want to change, write the tasks and habits you will do every day toward it, and pick a time. Then press and hold the circle to seal it. Useflo shows your sentence back to you on Home. Do the daily bits. Your daily tasks and habits reopen when your day starts: at midnight, or later if you stay up late. Home shows the next bit, with Done and Not now. Plan the day. Give bits a time and see your day as a timeline, with what is on now and what comes next. Start from the Night owl builder, a whole day of timed blocks from mid-afternoon to 5 AM, and make it yours. An alert can mark the start of each block. Close the day. In the evening, look at what you did, write one line, pick a mood, and hold to seal it. Every bit done is a kept day. Some done is a held day. None done is a slipped day, and so is a day you never close. Watch the month fill in. Each closed day becomes a dot in the month, next to your day number and your current run of kept days. ON YOUR IPHONE - Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets with today's bits. Tick one straight from the widget. - A focus timer that starts from the bit you are on, with a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. - Share to Useflo from Safari or any app to turn a link or a note into a task. - Long-press the icon to add a bit, start focus or close the day. Or ask Siri: "How's my day in Useflo". - Reminders you can act on: mark the next bit done or close the day from the notification. - Works offline. Ticks, tasks and closed days save on your phone and sync when you are back online. ALSO IN USEFLO - A daily nudge at the time you chose, written from your own promise. - Tasks, Habits, task lists and a calendar view. - Your week: a short look back every Sunday evening, ending in a card you can share. - Starter kits: Morning reset, Deep work, Get fit, Study, Calm mind, Build in public and Reader. - A mascot who reacts as you tick things off. Four sound packs and seven accent colours. FRIENDS - Add friends by email, username or an invite link. Nobody is added until they accept. - A weekly leaderboard with your friends only. - Challenges: keep the days together, or keep the same bit every day, side by side with up to three friends. - Send a cheer with one tap. Cheers, requests and challenge invites wait for you in Activity. - Share your tasks with a friend so you can check each other's ticks. You choose friend by friend, and it is off until you turn it on. A friend you share with sees today's and yesterday's bits and the time each was ticked, never your notes or reflections. - A profile with a short bio, and a public page at useflo.pro/u/yourname that stays off until you switch it on. - Report or block anyone, wherever you see them. PRIVACY - Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email and password. - No ads. No tracking across other apps or websites. - Your reflections, moods and notes are never shown to anyone else. - Delete your account and all of its data from Settings. Verdict
Timer and UseFlo are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and UseFlo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
