Transform daily battles into fun gardening adventures with RoutinePal, the visual timer for kids that turns abstract time into a growing garden. Designed for parents of children ages 2 to 8, RoutinePal solves the struggle of transitions, morning chaos, and bedtime resistance. Instead of abstract numbers or stressful alarms, your child watches Poko the Hedgehog help a plant grow from a seed to a beautiful bloom as time passes. WHY PARENTS LOVE ROUTINEPAL Young children do not understand how long 5 minutes is. Traditional countdown apps or sand timers can be abstract or anxiety-inducing. RoutinePal makes time tangible. If the child stops the task, the plant stops growing. If they finish, they add a new flower or fruit to their garden collection. KEY FEATURES Visual Timer for Kids Replace the stressful red pie chart with nature. Watch a sunflower, strawberry, or carrot grow in real-time. This gentle approach reduces anxiety around transitions and helps children with ADHD or autism understand the concept of waiting and duration. Customizable Routines Create presets for every part of your day. Use it as a toothbrush timer, a get dressed countdown, a potty training timer, or for managing screen time limits. Motivation & Rewards The more routines your child completes, the bigger their garden grows. This built-in reward system encourages repeated positive behavior without the need for screen time or sugary treats as bribes. Poko the Hedgehog Meet Poko, your child's friendly guide. Poko encourages them when they start a task and celebrates with them when they finish. He acts as a neutral third party, taking the role of the bad guy away from the parent when time is up. Ad-Free Experience RoutinePal is a safe space for your child. There are no advertisements to distract them from their tasks or interrupt the reward moment. IDEAL FOR EVERY SITUATION Morning Routine: Make getting dressed and eating breakfast a race to bloom the flower. Bathroom Habits: A perfect 2-minute toothbrush timer or potty training companion. Focus Time: Excellent for homework, reading, or quiet time. Transitions: Smoothly transition away from the park, playdates, or tablets without the meltdown. HOW IT WORKS Select a Plant: Let your child choose what they want to grow (Sunflower, Strawberry, or Carrot). Set the Time: Use quick presets (2min, 5min, 10min) or the custom scroll wheel. Start: Poko plants the seed. Watch it Grow: As the countdown progresses, the plant grows through detailed stages. Harvest: When the timer ends, the plant is fully grown and added to your permanent garden collection. DEVELOPED FOR FAMILIES We understand that every child is different. RoutinePal includes a gentle completion sound that is audible but not jarring, making it sensory-friendly. A built-in parental gate ensures that settings and timer controls are kept safe from little fingers. Stop nagging and start growing. ■ "Yesterday they did it. Why not today?" Brushing teeth. Homework. Getting ready for tomorrow. They could do it yesterday — today, nothing moves. You've said it a hundred times, and the same scene plays out. Maybe, that evening, you whispered to yourself, "I shouldn't have snapped." But tomorrow they'll do it. You believe it, and the next morning starts the same way. Every day has a wave. Looking only at the wave, we end up scolding the wave. That is what makes parenting feel heavier than it should. ■ Actually, that's normal — it's called regression to the mean Human performance has waves. A day better than usual is followed by a day closer to the average. Psychology calls this Regression to the Mean. Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman writes about it in "Thinking, Fast and Slow": "Scold them and the next time they do better. Praise them and the next time they fail." It isn't the scolding or the praise — they were simply returning to their average. But our brains feel the illusion as truth. It's like an optical illusion. Two lines of equal length look different when arrows point outward. Knowing the trick doesn't change what we see. So knowing isn't enough. We have to draw the line. We have to plot the trend. ■ Look at the trend, not the wave This app turns small daily moments into a moving-average line chart. Brushing teeth, bath time, homework, preparing for tomorrow, reading. One tap each. The day's total becomes a single point. The points scatter up and down. That's the wave. Above those points, the 7-day moving average runs. Even when waves swing, the line climbs gently. "Today was terrible," you think — but the line is quietly pointing up. A short comment, written from the data itself, sits above the chart: "There's a small dip recently, but it's part of the wave. The longer trend is climbing." Reading the line, not the point, gives you space from the illusion. ■ One tap, that's it [1] Sort your tasks into three categories. • Essentials (brushing teeth, bath, getting dressed) • Must-do (homework, preparing for tomorrow, lesson practice) • Nice-to-have (reading, folding clothes, free study) [2] For each task, tap one of three buttons. • Done (green) — completed properly • Tried (yellow) — they made the move, room to grow • Skipped (red) — didn't get to it today [3] One tap for your child's mood, too (Good / OK / Bad). As patterns appear, you'll see "today is a lighter-load day" or "we need a different rhythm". A "Bulk" button at each category covers busy mornings in a single touch. If you skip a day, yesterday's score carries forward — so a once-a-week lesson is fairly counted across the week. ■ This app is for parents who • End most evenings drained from scolding • Try not to compare siblings, but find themselves doing it anyway • Want to see their child's growth in data, not in feelings • Want weekly-lesson progress to count properly • Want to step back and look at their own parenting calmly Before aiming at "parenting without scolding", it helps to understand the brain mechanics that make us scold. This app is a small step toward that. ■ Privacy All data stays on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers. No tracking. No profiling. The ads we serve are configured not to read what's on your device. Quiet, certain, inside the family. GrowthTrend — see your child's growth in the trend, not in the wave. ■ Sister apps "TroubleNote" — a parent-only log of friend trouble, organized by person and time.
