Your AI coding agents, within reach. Tactic Remote connects your iPhone and iPad to your own computer so you can continue conversations, follow terminal output, inspect files, and respond when a task needs you. Your computer keeps working. You don't have to stay at your desk. Works with Claude Code, Codex, Amp, and Droid on compatible Mac, Linux, and Windows hosts. CHAT AND LIVE TERMINAL Follow streaming replies, code, and tool results in chat, or open the native terminal to enter commands and watch output. Choose an agent when creating a conversation. Each conversation keeps its own agent and context; start another conversation to use a different agent. PROJECTS, FILES, AND SESSIONS Find work by project, switch sessions, browse source files, and inspect file activity and Git changes. Worktree support helps organize separate tasks in the same repository. REMOTE ACCESS AND TRUSTED DEVICES Connect directly on your local network or use Tactic Relay to reach a paired computer over the internet. Relay connections use application-layer end-to-end encryption, so the relay cannot read session content. You can also use a Cloudflare Tunnel you configure. Sign in to your Tactic account to manage trusted devices and bound hosts, add Passkeys, and revoke device access. Your computer and companion server must stay running for remote access. VOICE, SHORTCUTS, AND ALERTS Dictate with Apple Speech, on-device Whisper, or optional cloud speech. Reuse commands and prompts, and receive notifications when work finishes or needs your attention. USAGE AT A GLANCE Where supported, check usage and plan limits for the agent account signed in on your computer. The companion server reads this data locally; availability depends on the agent and account. MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD Check in and reply from iPhone, or use iPad sidebars, expanded panels, and keyboard shortcuts. The interface supports English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, and Spanish. IPHONE, IPAD, AND THE WEB Alongside the native app, use a browser to access your own development environment, view sessions, browse files, and use the terminal. A new browser must complete secure pairing before its first connection. Your computer and companion server must stay running. FREE AND PRO The free tier includes 2 saved computers, 2 sessions, 5 custom snippets, and 5 minutes of cloud speech per month. Pro unlocks unlimited computers, sessions, and snippets, plus file upload and editing, the full Shell keyboard, custom quick prompts, all themes, and 35 minutes of cloud speech per month. Available through monthly or annual subscriptions, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. YOUR ENVIRONMENT, YOUR CONTROL Install the companion server and a supported coding agent on your computer, then sign in to and configure the agent. Tactic Remote does not provide an AI model or third-party agent account. Your computer continues to manage your projects, terminal processes, and agent credentials. Optional product analytics excludes code, prompts, terminal output, file paths, and project names, and can be disabled in Settings. Audio is uploaded only when you choose cloud speech. Protect the app with Face ID or Touch ID. Privacy Policy: https://tacticremote.com/privacy Terms of Service: https://tacticremote.com/terms

ServerCC lets you run real Claude Code or Codex on your phone via SSH, with the same experience as on desktop. Persistent connections keep your tasks running even after you close the app, and you can resume them anytime. Built for mobile, with smoother text input and interaction than terminal apps. While tasks are running, you can view your coding results in real time via VNC. No server yet? Claim a free sandbox trial right in the app — a temporary cloud Linux server with Claude Code, Codex, and Pi preinstalled and a sample project ready — and try the full workflow before adding your own server. Key Features: - The same UI and interactions as desktop Claude Code and Codex — not a chat wrapper - Multi-agent support: run Grok Build, OpenCode, Kimi Code, Pi, and OMP alongside Claude Code and Codex - Claude Code/Codex session management (start, auto-reconnect, and resume) - Tmux-based persistent sessions that keep Claude Code/Codex running even after closing the app — or attach directly to Tmux sessions already running on your host - herdr integration: servers running herdr show their spaces in the app — attach to running agent sessions, start new agents inside herdr, or adopt a space as a workspace - Claude Code bg sessions: launch agents in bg mode, close the app, attach from anywhere later — they keep working on your server - Workspace worktree support for developing multiple features simultaneously, with parallel Claude Code/Codex execution - VNC Remote Desktop: view your coding results in real time while Claude Code/Codex works — connect to macOS Screen Sharing or any VNC server - Ports: open web apps running on your dev server straight from your phone - Workspace file browsing and upload, plus management of global and workspace-level Skills and MCP Privacy Policy: https://servercc.app/privacy Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ ServerCC is an independent app for running AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, OpenCode, Kimi Code, Pi, OMP) over SSH. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ServerCC at 83% against Tactic Remote's 50%. ServerCC also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Tactic Remote's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Tactic Remote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ServerCC sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Tactic Remote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ServerCC has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Tactic Remote's written reviews are positive against 83% of ServerCC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Tactic Remote ships an update every 2 weeks, ServerCC weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
