About

Lexicairn

Lexicairn is an offline word expedition built around route planning, vocabulary, and the structure inside English words. TRACE A REAL WORD ROUTE Move across adjacent tiles on a 5x5 board without reusing a tile. Every board contains a verified anchor route, and every submitted route is checked against the bundled 73,424-word American English lexicon. BUILD A SCORING ENGINE Bank words to combine tile value, length, combo, morpheme, and rune bonuses. Six distinct runes alter the board economy, so a short tactical word can matter as much as one long discovery. TAKE THE DAILY DIG Play a board generated from the local date, preserve a daily streak, and share a compact result. No account or network connection is required. FOLLOW 12 EXPEDITIONS Progress through authored routes with minimum lengths, target scores, focus roots, and unlock requirements. Revisit any unlocked expedition or reproduce a board from its challenge code. LEARN THE WORD'S BONES The Guide explains 29 Greek and Latin prefixes, roots, and suffixes with meanings and examples. Recognized word parts can earn a morpheme bonus during play. KEEP A LOCAL LEDGER Review route history, best scores, longest words, daily streaks, expedition progress, and lexicon provenance. Progress is stored only in the app's local container. PREMIUM BY DESIGN The paid download includes the full game. There is no account, subscription, in-app purchase, advertising, analytics, tracking, or server dependency. The bundled lexicon is generated from English Speller Database release 2026.02.25. Its source, settings, checksum, attribution, and permission notice are available in the Guide and bundled legal resources.
