Find a word. Understand it. Make it yours. Palabros is an English and Spanish dictionary for people who love reading, writing and discovering words. The app is available in both languages. Look up a meaning when you need it. Linger on its nuances when it sparks your curiosity. Save the words that matter to you and come back to them until they become part of your vocabulary. And if you're learning English or Spanish, save their translations too. Widgets bring your words and translations to your Home Screen. They show them again with spaced repetition, without setting time aside to study. UNDERSTAND A WORD Read the definition alongside a clear, simple explanation. Check synonyms and antonyms, hear how it's pronounced and explore its origin with interactive etymology. BILINGUAL MODE Explore translations from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English. Translations are grouped by meaning, next to the definitions that clarify their nuances. Save a word's translations and come back to them whenever you like. Find them in your widgets and review them to learn word by word. KEEP READING Some words make you stop in the middle of a page. With Reading Mode, say a word out loud and see its meaning without typing it or putting your book down. If you prefer, listen to the explanation. When you finish, choose which of the words you looked up you want to save. COME BACK TO YOUR WORDS A word you found in a novel. Another you'd like to use when you write. A term you want to remember for your studies. Keep them in your library, organize them with tags, filter your collection and import your own lists. REVIEW AT YOUR OWN PACE Review your words in four ways: pick the word, pick the definition and, with Palabros Pro, type the word or explain it in your own words. You can also review translations: choose every correct equivalent among several options or, with Palabros Pro, type the translation you remember. If you review your words now and then, Palabros identifies the ones you find hardest to remember. With smart priority turned on, widgets show them more often, mixed in with the rest. Palabros Pro review widgets hide definitions or translations. Take a moment to recall them before you reveal them. Statistics show your progress. DISCOVER SOMETHING EVERY DAY Word of the Day is an invitation to learn a new meaning. Some words come illustrated. See it in the app and in its widgets, including the extra-large portrait widget. Siri and Shortcuts actions let you look up, save and review words, or build your own shortcuts. A DICTIONARY THAT GOES WITH YOU The English and Spanish dictionaries are built into the app, so you can look up definitions offline. On compatible devices, Apple Intelligence generates explanations on device. Translations by meaning need a connection; other features may require downloaded resources. Palabros has no ads. Read, look up and review in peace. PALABROS PRO Palabros is free to download. Palabros Pro expands your library and your tools: unlimited saved words, unlimited Reading Mode sessions, all four word review modes, typed translation review, word and translation review widgets, tags and filters, list import, statistics, widget personalization, exclusive icons and future Palabros Pro improvements. Choose a monthly subscription, try the annual plan with seven days free if you're eligible, or get lifetime access. For the words you want to make yours. lvlUp gives you a timed system design interview on paper and grades the pages you draw. It hands you one real system design question, starts a 35 minute clock, and walks you through the four steps of the ritual. You work it out with a pen, photograph your pages, and send them in. A minute later you have a debrief: a score out of 100 across six dimensions, the evidence behind each one read off your own page, what worked, the gaps, and one drill to run next. THE RITUAL Four steps, one clock, no restarts. Framing, 5 minutes. Restate the problem. Agree on scope, users and success in one sentence. Estimates, 10 minutes. The five slots: volume, requests per second with a peak multiplier, payload and egress, concurrency, and the judgment line. Design, 15 minutes. Boxes and arrows, only after the numbers exist. Parking lot, 5 minutes. Every open question lands here, and then you close them out. The clock shows the time left in the current step and the time left overall. In the last minute of a step the digits turn warm. That is the only thing on the screen that moves. WHY PAPER A real interview is a pen, a page and a clock. There is no editor, no autocomplete and no undo, so practising in one teaches you reflexes that will not be there on the day. lvlUp keeps the medium and takes the marking off your hands: draw it, photograph it, send it. THE DEBRIEF It opens with the single biggest gap, because that is the one thing worth fixing on the next attempt. Under it sits the DESIGN axis and its six rows: requirements and constraints, high level architecture, data model and APIs, scaling and bottlenecks, reliability and tradeoffs, and clarity of the drawing. Each row carries its score and the line from your page that earned it. Then what worked, then the drill. PROGRESS Every attempt is kept in order with its score, so the change is something you can read rather than something you have to take on trust. WHO IT IS FOR Engineers preparing for a system design round, and anyone who has read the theory and still goes blank in front of a blank page. SUBSCRIPTION lvlUp Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, $14.99 per month or $99.99 per year, billed to your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
