ONE CARD FOR THE DAY. FOUR TO REFLECT ON IT. DEEPER READINGS WHEN SOMETHING NEEDS MORE ATTENTION. The Hermit’s Way is a private tarot journal built around three kinds of reflection: • Daily Card — one symbol and a few quiet minutes to notice what is present.• Evening Reflection — four cards to gather the day and consider where you are.• Readings — structured spreads for a decision, conversation, recurring feeling, or question that deserves a wider view. Every card, reading, and reflection is saved in one journal. Return when circumstances change, add a later thought, revisit a Deepen conversation, or export your practice. TAROT FOR REFLECTION, NOT PREDICTION The cards do not predict the future or tell you what to do. They give your attention somewhere to rest. Notice what an image stirs before explaining it. Write as much or as little as you like. Sit quietly. Return when the reflection has more to say. The goal is not the “right” interpretation. It is the perspective that can emerge when you pause. TEN READINGS, FROM SIMPLE TO DEEP Use a single card, the four-card Evening Reflection, or a larger spread such as the Celtic Cross. Reveal cards one at a time. Consider each image, its position, and the spread as a whole before putting your response into words. TWO COMPLETE DECKS Read with: • Waite-Smith 1909 — the enduring classic.• Midnight Line — an original 78-card deck organized around Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. Explore both decks card by card in the built-in Compendium. A JOURNAL THAT BECOMES MORE VALUABLE OVER TIME Daily cards, evening reflections, deeper readings, and later thoughts stay together in one private record. Look back through earlier entries. Notice recurring symbols and questions. See what changed—and what did not. The journal becomes a record of what you were protecting, questioning, learning, and carrying forward. QUIET, OPTIONAL AI AI appears only when you choose it: • Meaning offers the deck’s archetype and themes as context.• Interpret considers the cards and positions together, offering one possible reading—not a verdict.• Deepen responds to your writing with thoughtful questions. It does not interpret the cards, predict, diagnose, or tell you what to do. You can disagree, correct it, or leave at any time. Your judgment remains central. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account• No ads• No tracking• Reflections stored on your device• Optional private sync through your own iCloud FREE CORE PRACTICE The journal and core tarot practice are free and unrestricted. Free access also includes five lifetime Deepen sessions and three lifetime Interpret sessions, so you can experience both forms of optional support. HERMIT’S WAY PLUS Plus adds: • One Deepen session each day• One Interpret session each day• Reflection Memory, preserving Deepen conversations for later return• Practice export Past conversations remain available to read without consuming future access. Monthly and annual subscriptions are available. The Hermit’s Way was created by Dan McCarthy after decades of exploring reflection, symbolic practice, and meditation. One symbol for the moment. Four cards for the day. A deeper reading for what matters. One private place to return.
