Packing List vs OutPack

The hardest part of packing is starting. PackGoat hands you a complete list before you've packed a thing, so you finish in minutes and forget nothing. Built for anyone who travels and hates packing from a blank page. START WITH A STARTER PACK New here? Pick from ready-made packs, climbing, ski, beach, work travel, a kids' bag, and the items come with them. A complete starting point in one tap, then make it your own. BUILD ONCE, REUSE FOREVER Save your go-to lists as templates and stop starting from scratch. Your climbing gear, ski kit, toiletries, work travel, a kids' bag. Pick the ones that fit your trip and your list is ready in a couple of taps. Templates can carry to-dos too (like "Charge the power bank" with your Electronics kit). LET AI CATCH WHAT YOU'D FORGET Tell PackGoat where you're going and what you'll do. It checks the real weather forecast, thinks through your trip, and suggests the easy-to-miss things, like sunscreen for a sunny trip. Processed entirely on your device. ALWAYS THE RIGHT AMOUNT Set a rule once: per day, per night, fixed, or a mix. PackGoat counts the exact quantity for any trip length, so you never overpack or run short. Pack for 3 days or 30 without recounting. KNOW YOUR BAG WEIGHT Care what your bag weighs? Add weights to your items and watch your total in real time, so you stay under airline carry-on limits before you reach the gate. Useful for flyers, hikers, and anyone packing light. NOTHING SLIPS THROUGH Every trip has its own to-do list for the things you do, not just pack. Charge your devices, check your passport, confirm your booking. PACK TOGETHER Share a trip by link and your travel companions get their own copy to pack from, every item included. BUILT TO BE BEAUTIFUL Every item is a sticker. Snap a photo and PackGoat lifts it into a die-cut sticker right on your device, so your list looks like your actual gear. The whole trip, in one app. OutPack is where backpackers plan, weigh, and remember every trip. Build a gear closet, map routes, plan meals, and pack once. No more juggling a spreadsheet, a maps app, and a notes app. Featured in Backpacker Magazine as a Best New Backpacking Trip Planner. GEAR CLOSET Track every item’s weight, category, and notes. Bundle items into kits — tent system, cook kit, first aid — then build packs from kits and loose items. Weight breakdowns by category show what’s actually driving your base weight. GPX ROUTES Plan on the map with road-snapping or free-draw mode. Drop waypoints, check distance and elevation, and import or export GPX. Maps work offline in the field. MEAL PLANNING Plan meals by trip day with calories, protein, carbs, fat, and food weight, plus running trip totals. No more guessing how much food to carry. TRIPS Seed a trip from a pack, add a route, and you’re set. Log timeline events, photos, and notes as the trip unfolds. Keep it private, make it public, or share it once you’re home. Built for: • Backpackers planning multi-day trips • Thru-hikers tracking base, worn, and consumable weight • Day hikers who want reusable kits for fast packing • Anyone switching from LighterPack for a tool built for the trail, not a browser tab
