Anystring is a free tuner for guitar and bass with fully editable per-string tunings. Most free tuners lock you into fixed presets. Anystring lets you set any note on any string — Drop D, Drop C, 7-string, 4-string bass, or your own custom setup. FEATURES • Live pitch detection — start tuning and play a string • Strings mode — auto or manual target per string • Chromatic mode — nearest note with live cents • Built-in presets — Standard, Drop D, Half-step down, Drop C, bass standards, and more • Custom tunings — edit any string, name it, save under My tunings • Reference tones — tap a string or pick a note to hear the target • Offline — works without an internet connection PRIVACY Microphone audio is analysed on your device only while you are tuning. Nothing is recorded or uploaded. Your custom tunings stay on the device.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for OpenTuner against 5.0 for Anystring Tuner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OpenTuner has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
