Scan the receipt, tip before tax and fees, and split to the penny. Basic tipping is free forever. Pro features come with five free uses, then one purchase unlocks them for good. Nothing ever leaves your phone. Tipflation is out of control. Pitip does the math you actually want: tip on the food, not on the tax and the mandatory service fee. Point your camera at the check. The total, tax, and fees fill themselves in. Pick a percentage, split it, and you're done before the card comes back. SCAN THE RECEIPT Receipt scanning reads the total, tax, and fees straight off the paper: restaurant checks, bar tabs, coffee shop slips. It happens entirely on your phone. Nothing is uploaded and no photo is saved. Pitip shows you what it read and lets you fix it before anything is applied, because you're the one signing. DON'T TIP ON THE FEES Turn on "Tip before tax & fees" and the tip is figured on the subtotal. On an $86.75 check with $7.16 tax and a $3.00 service fee, a 20% tip is $15.32, not $17.35. Tip generously on the food. Skip tipping the county and the card reader. SPLIT TO THE PENNY Up to 20 people. When a bill doesn't divide evenly, Pitip shows exactly who covers the extra cent: $100 at 18% across three people is $39.33, $39.33, and $39.34. The shares always add back up to the total, so nobody quietly eats the rounding. MAKE THE TOTAL Want to pay exactly $76.00? Enter the total you want to pay and Pitip works the tip backwards to land on it. Useful for cash, and for a budget. Tip the meal, not the tax. No Tipflation helps you calculate a tip from the pre-tax subtotal, review the bill, and split the total with your group. MAKE THE NUMBERS CLEAR • Choose 12%, 15%, or 20%, or enter your own tip percentage. • See the difference compared with tipping on the after-tax amount at the same percentage. • Account for tax, service fees, discounts, and tips already printed on the receipt. • Split the total among up to 20 people, with any one-cent rounding differences shown clearly. SCAN AND REVIEW Scan a receipt with your camera, then review and edit the detected amounts before applying them. Ordinary receipt scanning runs on your device and does not use cloud checks. Notices can help you spot existing charges or possible after-tax tip prompts. A service charge is not necessarily a tip: check the receipt and the restaurant's explanation before adding more. Always review recognized amounts. RECEIPT HISTORY AND PAYMENT COMPARISON Scan records are saved on your device. Review saved photos, recognized text, and your corrected amounts. Choose a scan and separately confirm the final total you actually authorized, including your tip and currency. A newer scan does not automatically replace your confirmed total. Enter the posted bank charge yourself to compare it with your authorized total. The app does not connect to your bank or determine fraud. Use the same currency; pending authorizations can change. When recognized scans are within 10 minutes of each other, compare the current and previous scans. Keep only the current scan, keep only the previous scan, or keep them as separate receipts. Keeping one requires confirmation before deleting other scans and photos in the compared receipt records, including older versions. Closing the comparison keeps all scans. Delete receipts from history or share saved photos and comparison records. Keep a photo of the final receipt and review what you share. OPTIONAL ENHANCED CHECK Enhanced Check is off by default. Enable it for cloud-based receipt recognition. Only receipt photos you capture or select while it is enabled are uploaded; live camera preview frames stay on your device. An internet connection is required. Each installation includes 5 free Enhanced Checks per calendar month, resetting on UTC month boundaries. Unused monthly checks do not roll over. When your balance runs out, you can choose to watch a rewarded ad for one additional check after reward verification. There is no limit on the number of ad rewards, subject to ad availability. Ad-earned checks carry over from month to month. USE IT YOUR WAY Remember your preferred tip percentage, open the scanner from the Home Screen widget, or share a card with your current calculation. Shared cards can include your scanned receipt photo, so check their contents before sharing. No account required. The app includes ads and uses app-usage analytics. Manual calculations and ordinary scanning remain available without Enhanced Check and are not subject to its cloud allowance.
