EasyCube teaches you to solve the Rubik's cube, then to do it faster. The 3×3 and the 2×2. Tell it where you are and it puts you on the right method, with what you already know ticked off. Beginner, layer by layer. CFOP with the last layer in two looks while you learn it. Or full CFOP. For the 2×2, beginner or Ortega. SOLVE WITH ME Show your cube to the camera, or copy it onto the plan, and the app walks you to the end with the beginner method. It names each case, says why the sequence works, then gives you one move at a time, with the colour of the face to turn. A REAL 3D CUBE Every algorithm plays on a cube in three dimensions, move by move. Tap a move to jump to it. Turn the cube with your finger to look underneath. Show only the pieces the case is about and grey out the rest. 172 CASES, WRITTEN FOR FINGERS 41 F2L, 57 OLL, 21 PLL, 40 COLL, and 13 for the 2×2. The brackets mark the triggers your hand already knows, not groups of three. Don't like an algorithm? Replace it with yours and the app keeps yours. PRACTISE A timer for each cube, with real WCA scrambles, drawn at random from every state of the cube. Recognition, for naming a case without solving it. From memory, for rehearsing an algorithm on the app's own cube when yours is not to hand — nothing is timed there, it is for learning the moves. And the cross in fewest moves, where the app knows the true optimum and tells you. THE BEGINNER METHOD, ILLUSTRATED Every step shows the piece it is talking about, on a cube, before giving you the sequence. Notation included, if this is your first time reading R U R'. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No account. No adverts. No in-app purchases. No tracking. Your times and your progress stay on your device, and travel through your own iCloud if you want them elsewhere. The camera reads the colours of your cube: no picture is kept or sent. All that leaves is a daily count of which features were used, anonymous, and a setting turns it off. Free, and staying that way.
