MediaForge
Read full descriptionHide full description
MediaForge is a local-first audio and video conversion studio for iPhone and iPad. Import media from Photos, Files, another app, or drag and drop on iPad. View stereo waveforms overlaid or as separate left and right tracks, then zoom into a local time window for precise work. Edit video with freeform cropping, rotation, horizontal flip, exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, highlight and shadow controls, sharpening, vignette, and tone curves. Draw audio processing directly on the waveform. Add any number of gain anchors, drag them down to true mute, link both channels or automate them independently, and paint anonymize or pitch-shift effects onto exact time ranges. Repair mono and one-sided recordings, swap stereo channels, mix to mono, and adjust three-band EQ. Export H.264 for broad compatibility or HEVC for modern compression. Export audio as CBR/VBR MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, WAV, AIFF, or CAF; choose bitrate, sample rate, channel layout, PCM bit depth, metadata policy, and a custom output filename. Open the File Inspector to review container identifiers, internal codecs, FourCC values, track rates, audio sample formats, and embedded metadata. Export processed audio samples as CSV, MATLAB MAT v5, or formatted Excel XLSX data. Optionally package any exported media or data file as ZIP or GZIP. ZIP supports compression levels, AES-256 encryption, legacy ZipCrypto compatibility, and generated strong passwords. Media processing is performed on the device. Your media is not uploaded to a server.

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MediaForge at none against Remove Silence's 1. MediaForge also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Remove Silence's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
