Food Group
Read full descriptionHide full description
Food Group is an Australian macro and micronutrient tracker. It uses the nutrient targets dietitians use, the food data the government publishes, and kilojoules alongside calories. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT All 23 micronutrients, free. Most trackers stop at calories and three macros. Food Group also tracks iron, calcium, folate, B12, magnesium and more, against NHMRC targets for your age and sex. Built for Australia. 1,588 foods from the Australian Food Composition Database, plus everyday staples, supermarket products and chain items, named the way you search. Private by default. Everything stays on your device. No account, no ads, no analytics. The only thing that leaves your phone is an anonymous food lookup. LOGGING Meal sections for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with extra meals when you need them. One-tap re-logging for repeat foods, and save whole meals as templates. Barcode scanning and on-device label scanning. Recipes with quick scaling. INSIGHTS A weekly summary shows which micronutrients you run low on. Daily targets from the science: Mifflin-St Jeor energy and NHMRC reference values. Every number traces to a public source: AFCD, USDA, NHMRC and Open Food Facts, all credited in the app. Food Group is free during beta. A subscription arrives at full launch, and anything you log now stays with you. Food Group is a tracking tool, not medical advice. For dietary or medical decisions, see your GP or an Accredited Practising Dietitian.
