4. Ouvre ton frigo Tes boîtes rangées étagère par étagère. Tu en prends une, elle disparaît. D'un coup d'œil, tu vois ce qu'il te reste et ce qui part bientôt. POURQUOI TU VAS ADORER ÉMILE Des économies réelles. Cook once, eat well all week. Pick a batch menu, get one shopping list, and cook everything in a single guided session — the app works out the order so the oven, the pans and your hands are never idle. ONE SESSION, PLANNED FOR YOUR KITCHEN • Recipes are merged into one timeline: while the rice simmers, you chop; while the tray roasts, the chili bubbles. • Planned around what you have — number of burners, oven temperature and trays — so it never asks for three pans on two burners. • The same prep for several recipes is done once: "crush the garlic for 2 recipes". • Every step shows its own amount, never the total of the whole recipe. • Timers for the oven and the pot, on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Close the app, lock your phone — the clock keeps going. ONE SHOPPING LIST • All ingredients of the week in one list, sorted by aisle, with amounts added up. • Tick things off in the shop, mark what's already at home, add your own items. • Shop together: share the live list with your household — ticks and new items show up on every phone. Or send it as text. • Cups and spoons in the US, grams and millilitres elsewhere. YOUR FRIDGE, SORTED • After cooking, every dish goes into your fridge with its portions and a use-by date. • Dates follow your country's official food-safety advice, counted from cooking. • The dish that goes off first is always at the top; eat a portion with one tap. • Freeze or thaw a dish with a swipe. YOUR RECIPES TOO • Write your own recipes or import one from a recipe website; they cook in the same session as the menus. • Calories, protein, carbs and fat per serving for every menu recipe (an estimate from USDA data). • A kid-friendly filter for menus families tend to love. HONEST TIMES • Your first session includes a 20% margin. After that, times follow your own pace. FOR YOUR DIET • Vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian or no pork. • Allergies kept apart where it matters: lactose and milk protein, peanuts and tree nuts. Allergy and diet filters are always free. FREE Starter menus, sessions of up to 3 recipes, your own recipes, the shopping list (shared or not), the guided session with timers, the fridge, and every diet and allergy filter. PREMIUM (monthly or yearly subscription) • All 59 menus and 100 recipes, and new ones as they come • Up to 6 recipes a session, for lunch and dinner • Freezer plan: portions the week won't reach in time go straight to the freezer • Reminders on the last day a dish keeps • "Eat next" widget NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS Your plans, recipes and fridge stay on your phone and work offline. Only a list you choose to share goes through our own sync service — no name, no account. No sign-up, no ads, no third-party analytics. Premium renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Verdict
Emile and Batch Cooking are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Emile sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Batch Cooking sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
