ABOUT SANKASHTI CHATURTHI Sankashti Chaturthi (literally "the chaturthi that removes obstacles") is observed monthly on the chaturthi tithi of the Krishna Paksha. Devotees fast from sunrise until they sight the moon, after which they offer prayers to Lord Ganesh and break their fast. When Sankashti falls on a Tuesday, it is called Angarki Sankashti and is considered especially powerful.
