Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: HexTowerDefense at none against Idle Pact's shown. HexTowerDefense also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Idle Pact's advantage is ratings volume (64 vs 4) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Idle Pact sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and HexTowerDefense sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
HexTowerDefense holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Idle Pact has 64 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Idle Pact ships an update every 4 days, HexTowerDefense every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
