Dogear is a quiet, beautiful home for your reading life. Track the books you read, rate them honestly, and see what your friends actually thought. We built Dogear because reading apps stopped being about books. They feel like databases. So we made something closer to a well-set page: warm paper, real typography, and nothing on screen that doesn't earn its place. YOUR SHELF Every book you've read, are reading, want to read, or gave up on. Yes, quitting a book is allowed here. Encouraged, even. RATINGS THAT MEAN SOMETHING Five stars never told anyone much. On Dogear you rate a book by comparing it against books you've already read, one matchup at a time, until it lands exactly where it belongs on a 0 to 10 scale. Your 8.9 means something because your 6.4 does too. YOUR FRIENDS' REAL TASTE Follow friends and see what they're reading, what they loved, and what they dropped halfway. A feed of honest opinions from people whose taste you know, not strangers with inflated stars. NOTES THAT REMEMBER HOW IT FELT Write notes as you read and Dogear keeps them pinned to where you were in the book. When you finish, look back at the whole arc, from the chapter that dragged to the line that wrecked you. QUOTES WORTH KEEPING Save the passages you loved. See what other readers underlined in the same book. FIND YOUR NEXT READ Browse your friends' shelves, wander an author's full catalog, and hear from readers you trust before you commit to 600 pages. Dogear is small, independent, and made by readers. Come shelve something. - harry and shruti :)
