ChatOrbit lets two people connect in a private, time-limited chat session. No accounts, no sign-ups, no profiles — just a shared token and a secure connection. HOW IT WORKS 1. One person generates a unique session token 2. They share the token with their contact through any channel they choose 3. The other person enters the token to join 4. A secure, encrypted session begins with a countdown timer 5. When time runs out, the session closes and everything disappears This is intentional, private communication between two people who choose to connect — not random matching, not a social network. ENCRYPTION & PRIVACY Every message is encrypted end-to-end using AES-256-GCM with keys derived directly on your device. The server relays encrypted data but never sees your messages, never stores them, and never has the keys to decrypt them. Messages exist only in device memory during an active session. There are no server-side archives, no chat history, no message database. When the session ends, the content is gone permanently. PEER-TO-PEER VIDEO Start a video call with one tap. Video and audio stream directly between devices using WebRTC — no server in the middle. Camera and microphone permissions are requested only when you initiate or accept a call. NO ACCOUNTS, NO DATA COLLECTION ChatOrbit does not require registration, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal information to use. There are no user profiles, no contact lists, and no way to search for or discover other users. Two people connect only when they both possess the same token. We do not collect usage data, analytics, advertising identifiers, or diagnostics. ChatOrbit contains no ads and no tracking. SAFETY & MODERATION ChatOrbit is a private, token-gated, one-on-one messenger. There is no public content, no user discovery, and no way for strangers to contact each other. Both participants must intentionally share a token to connect. A built-in Report Abuse mechanism is accessible during any active session. Submitting a report immediately terminates the session and notifies our incident response team. Reports can flag immediate threats, criminal activity, or request follow-up investigation. Because sessions are ephemeral with no persistent user identity, ending a session permanently severs the connection — there is no mechanism for a blocked user to reconnect without a new, mutually shared token. Contact information for our legal and privacy teams is published within the app at all times. TIME-LIMITED SESSIONS Choose how long your session lasts — from minutes to hours.
