About

BatchKnow

BatchKnow is a free batch code checker and cosmetic checker for skincare, makeup, perfume, and fragrance products. Choose a brand and enter the batch code printed on the pack. Depending on the brand and its code format, the app shows a production date, an expiry date, or both. Some brands repeat their year codes. For example, one code can mean 2020 or 2010. In that case, our app shows each possible date. When you bought the product, or when it first went on sale, usually tells you which date it mostly like belong to. Typing a small printed code can be awkward. Scan the batch code with your camera, or choose a photo from Photos. Check the code before you continue. The photo stays on your device unless you choose to attach it to a report. With BatchKnow you can: • Check batch codes from 355 cosmetic and fragrance brands • See a production date, an expiry date, or both when the code contains that information • Review other possible dates when a code repeats over time • Scan a batch code from a photo • Keep up to 50 recent checks on your phone • Report a code or result that needs another look You do not need an account. Dates are calculated from the batch code and should be treated as estimates. Unopened shelf life is usually 3 to 5 years and varies by brand and product. If the pack prints an expiry date or a PAO symbol, follow the pack.
