Petanque: Score & Tournament (Petanque Companion) is a free pétanque app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, with no in-app purchases. It runs your club's competitions from the first draw to the final standings — and keeps score for a casual game in the park just as happily. TOURNAMENT ENGINE Six real formats: Swiss System, Round Robin, Round Robin + Knockout, Single Elimination, Double Elimination and Mêlée-Casse, for tête-à-tête, doublette and triplette. Pairings are generated for you, round after round. STANDINGS THAT SETTLE IT Live standings with wins, losses, points for and against, point difference and Buchholz. Teams are ranked by wins, then point difference, then Buchholz — the French federation's (FFPJP) Swiss order — and each Swiss round is paired in that same order. A bye counts as a 13–6 win, as in FFPJP rules. Sort by any column. PISTE ASSIGNMENT Assign matches to pistes by hand or automatically. When the venue has fewer pistes than matches, double-booked lanes are flagged so the director sees the queue before the players do. EXPORT & SHARE PDF scoresheets and standings for the clubhouse noticeboard, shareable image cards for social media, and CSV or JSON when you want the raw data. GAME SCORING Score round by round with full history and undo. Live Activities keep the score on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, and a home screen widget shows your active game. AR DISTANCE MEASUREMENT When a point is too close to call, measure it: aim the camera at the terrain and tap each boule. LiDAR devices give centimetre-precise distances to the cochonnet. Available during a game or on its own from Tools. Requires an ARKit-capable device. PLAYERS, TEAMS & STATISTICS Player profiles with photos and country flags. Win rates, streaks, head-to-head records, and 21 achievements across six categories. APPLE WATCH Live scores on your wrist with quick-scoring buttons. RULES & TOOLS Searchable FIPJP rule reference, dispute resolver, coin toss and random team picker. Built for the terrain, not the office: a dark theme for outdoor readability, 16 languages, and no account, no cloud and no tracking. Everything stays on your device.
