Plan acoustic field work, capture on-device evidence, and hand over a traceable commissioning record. NEW IN 4.0 Search jobs by site, room, work order, position or evidence notes. Reuse a job's layout and acceptance targets with fresh identities and no copied measurements or calibration. Export a complete archive through Files, preview a restore and preserve the current file before replacement. PLAN AND CAPTURE Record job details, microphone and interface context, listener areas, named positions, required repeat counts and project-defined targets. Capture broadband RMS and nominal third-octave evidence from an external stimulus or ambient sound. Raw microphone samples are analyzed in memory and are not saved as audio. VERIFY WITH CLEAR LIMITS Evaluate planned-position coverage, band-level spread, spectral consistency, repeat agreement and optional referenced level targets. New captures use a 32,768-sample Hann FFT; unresolved bands are omitted. Older under-resolved low-frequency values stay preserved with their original seals but are excluded from affected calculations. Missing required evidence is reported rather than treated as a pass. COMPARE AND EXPORT Change Desk compares qualifying runs at the same position with matching recorded conditions and spectrum method. Confirm comparable physical conditions yourself. Export the project, run ledger, criteria and SHA-256 integrity seals as JSON, CSV or a readable report. Seals detect changes to stored evidence; they do not authenticate a measurement or certify its accuracy. SAFER RECORDS Failed writes do not replace your last saved state. A finished run that cannot be saved remains pending in memory for retry; keep the app open until it is saved. Explicit recovery preserves an unreadable archive before starting fresh. Archive backup includes jobs, plans, calibration records, sealed runs and void records. Restore replaces the entire archive, without merging, after preserving the current file. Imports support up to 25 MB, 1,000 jobs and 20,000 runs. Backup and recovery files are unencrypted. No account, analytics, advertising or subscription. iPhone and iPad. Uncalibrated readings use relative dBFS; a documented reference offset can produce referenced dB SPL. Frequency Loom is not a class-rated sound level meter, transfer-function analyzer or IEC/ISO/ANSI/AVIXA compliance certificate. Physical equipment and procedures determine field accuracy.
