Chessdrive is a personal chess coach that reviews your games, shows you where they go wrong, and gives you a short plan to fix it. Most players lose the same way for years and never find out why. Chessdrive tells you. Play a game or import one, and your coach walks you through the moments that decided it, what to do differently, and why, in plain language. KNOW WHY YOU LOSE • Every game gets a review that walks you through the turning points, not just a score • See the move you could have found: Chessdrive knows what players at your level actually play, so it never scolds you for missing a grandmaster move • Ask the coach about any move and get a straight answer, in 20 languages FIX IT WITH TODAY'S PLAN • Tell the coach your level and how many minutes a day you have • Get a short plan every day: a game to review, a few puzzles at your rating, one opening line to drill • Reminders bring you back when a review is waiting OPENINGS YOU CAN ACTUALLY PLAY • Openings built around how you like to play, learned move by move with the ideas behind them • Answer ten quick questions about how you like to play and get your own repertoire for both colors • Daily reviews bring each line back right before you would forget it STOP THE BLUNDERS • Puzzles tuned to your rating, unlimited on Chessdrive Pro • Puzzle cycles (the Woodpecker method) that make the patterns automatic PRACTICE AT YOUR LEVEL • Play an opponent that plays like a real 900, 1200 or 1800, not an engine with the difficulty turned down • Play rated games online in bullet, blitz and rapid, or send a friend a challenge link SEE WHAT KEEPS COSTING YOU • Every review breaks down accuracy by phase and counts your blunders, mistakes and inaccuracies WHY IT WORKS Chessdrive reads your games with a real chess engine (Stockfish) and a model trained on millions of human games (Maia3) that knows how players at your level actually move. Both run on your phone, so the analysis works offline. Import games from Chess.com or Lichess by username, or paste a PGN. Free to start. Chessdrive Pro unlocks unlimited reviews, unlimited puzzles, the full coach and your repertoire, with a free trial. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through your Apple ID; payment is charged at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Chessigma reviews your chess games, shows you where the points went, and turns your own mistakes into training. The app has five tabs: Home, Train, Coach, Games and Brain. FREE - Game review: import your games from Chess.com or Lichess by username, or paste a PGN or a game link. Every move is graded, the turning points are marked, and you see the better move and the evaluation graph. The Stockfish engine runs on your phone, so a review needs no account. - Puzzles: a daily puzzle to keep your streak, classic puzzles, and Woodpecker sets that repeat the same positions until the patterns stick. - Opening Trainer: learn opening courses line by line. The first lines of every course are free. - Brain Games: twelve short games with scores and leaderboards. Nine are built on chess, and three need no chess: a reaction time test, Queens and Memory Match. - Sparring: play the first bots on the sparring ladder. - A first look at your coach report, built from your recent online games. - One move explanation from the coach each day when you are signed in. Signing in is free and keeps your streak, puzzle rating, scores and progress on every device. SUPERCOACH Supercoach is the paid plan. It adds: - Coach chat: ask the AI coach about your games, your openings and your habits. - Your full player report in six chapters (Overview, Blunders, Clock, Tactics, Conversion, Openings), with a heatmap of your blind spots. - A daily plan of coached tasks picked from your own games. - Move explanations in every game review, and the option to play on from any position. - Blunder Shield and Blunder Training: drills built from the positions where you blundered. - Conversion Trainer: practice winning the games you were winning. - Every rival on the sparring ladder and every line of every opening course. Coach messages come from a monthly allowance. Coach answers are written by an AI model through a third-party service, and every answer has a Report button. ACCOUNT Sign in with Apple, Google or your email address (we send a 6-digit code, no password). If your Chessigma account already has Supercoach, it works in the app as soon as you sign in. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Chessigma at 4.7 against Chessdrive's 1.0. Chessigma also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (87 vs 1). Chessdrive's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
