About

SevenGrid

SevenGrid is a calm weekly habit tracker. 7 days. 1 grid. Your whole week on one screen: every habit is a row, every day is a tap. Mark what you did and get on with your day. NO STREAKS Most habit apps punish a missed day. SevenGrid doesn't count streaks at all: a missed day is just a gap, not a reset. There is no chain to break, so coming back is easy, and staying consistent stops feeling like pressure. Sick, travelling, or just resting? Skip the day. A quiet stroke marks the cell, the reminder pauses, and the week doesn't hold it against you. Rest can be a rule, too: let a habit skip every Friday on its own. PAY ONCE Free to start: 3 habits, your last 4 weeks, the full week grid, 2 themes. Pro is a one-time purchase and unlocks unlimited habits, your whole history, per-habit reminders, the shape of your week, and all 20 themes. Pay once. No subscription. Ever. REFLECTION Ticking boxes is easy. Reflection is the hard part. So at the end of the week, SevenGrid asks three short questions and how you felt: two minutes, a tiny weekly journal. Skip a week and nothing breaks. Old entries resurface now and then. GOALS THAT FIT REAL LIFE Not every habit is daily. Gym three days a week, reading every day, water three times a day: set the rhythm for each habit and the grid keeps up. One packed Tuesday never ruins anything. And your week starts on Monday or on Sunday, your call. AT MOST Some habits are about less, not more: cutting back, or gently letting one go. Set the goal to "At most": at most 1 coffee a day, takeout on at most 2 days a week. Each tap adds one. Staying at or under your limit is the win, and going over is never red. THE SHAPE OF YOUR WEEK Statistics, the quiet way. SevenGrid reads your grid and turns it into plain sentences: which day carries your week, when you rest, how your mood and your active days move together. Insights without numbers (Pro). YOUR DAY, YOUR VIEW One screen, two views: the full week grid, or a Today view with only what is still open. One quiet daily reminder, if you want it. Per-habit reminders (Pro) carry a check-off button right in the notification, and every weekday can have its own time: early on Monday, late on Sunday, silent on the days you skip. THE QUIET EXTRAS - Amounts and duration: log km, reps, liters or hours per day, just for the record, never a target - A note per day: long-press a cell and jot down what happened - CSV export with an open schema: your data in files you can read, keep and take anywhere - Share a week as a calm image, and choose which habits go on it - Icons and colors: every habit gets its own look - 20 hand-tuned themes, light and dark, plus true black for OLED, with automatic dark mode - App lock with Face ID or your passcode, and the option to block screenshots while it's on - Long-press the app icon to add a habit without opening the app first LOCAL AND PRIVATE SevenGrid works fully offline. Your habits are yours: everything stays on your iPhone. No account, no sign-up, no server of ours, no ads, no tracking. The app goes online for two things only: to check your purchase and to send anonymous crash reports, which you can switch off. If iCloud Backup is on, your habit database travels inside your own encrypted iPhone backup, so a new iPhone picks up where you left off. That backup is between you and Apple; we never see it. Prefer a copy in your own hands? The CSV export gives you one. Try it: airplane mode on, the app keeps working. Built by one person who still uses it every day.

Verdict

The call

FocusVault and SevenGrid are too close to call on the numbers: across 3 compared parameters — price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. FocusVault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and SevenGrid sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
