Is it your Wi-Fi, or is it your ISP? PingKit Guardian finds out, with a 1-week free trial. It tests your iPhone, your network, your router and the internet beyond it, then tells you in plain words where the problem is and what to do about it. While you are away, Guardian keeps watch: 10 sites or TCP ports checked every 5 minutes, with an alert when one goes down or recovers. The tools are free: 19 professional-grade network tools, no subscription needed. Devices on your network are found automatically and named from what they announce. Ask "Why is my internet slow?" and get a real answer instead of a number. GUARDIAN ($2.99/mo): • Where the problem is: your device, your network, your router, your ISP, or beyond • Fix It walkthrough: an ordered checklist for your exact router • Uptime Watch: 10 sites or TCP ports, checked every 5 minutes • Cert Monitor: 5 domains, with expiry alerts • Session Watch: game regions, two-hour sessions, lag under load, and where the lag is • Router mode: every port your router forwards from the internet • Cameras on your network, and whether each answers from the internet • Wake from anywhere through your Mac, with a Control Center button per device • Watch Mode, trends per network, and what changed since your last checkup • Monitoring through the companion Mac Agent while your Mac is awake: a morning briefing, alerts for the devices you choose, and a scan or speed test from anywhere • 90 days of history from your Mac • Apple Private Cloud Compute: answers questions too large for the model on your iPhone to hold on its own • Private iCloud sync between the Mac Agent and your iPhone GUARDIAN PLUS ($9.99/mo): • Cert Monitor: 50 domains • Alerts by email, with a Monday summary, or to a webhook • Sleep, restart and shut down your Macs and Linux machines • Four- and eight-hour gaming sessions, and your history as a spreadsheet • Several Macs • Scheduled reports and the signed ISO 27001 Compliance PDF • Everything in Guardian 19 FREE TOOLS: Smart Diagnostics, Speed Test, Ping, Visual Traceroute, MTR, Connection Monitor, Port Scanner, Bonjour Browser, Security Scan, Device Discovery, My Network, DNS Lookup, Whois, IP Geolocation, SSL Inspector, HTTP Analyzer, Subnet Calculator, Wake-on-LAN, Network Interfaces. AI THAT EXPLAINS YOUR NETWORK: Answers are written on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence where your iPhone and language allow, or with Guardian by Apple Private Cloud Compute. AI explanations and the assistant are free without a subscription: answers written on your iPhone are unlimited, and PingKit's own service gives you 15 a week, up to 5 a day. MONITOR TAB: Live connection, Uptime Watch, Cert Monitor, Mac Agent, scheduled speed tests and reports. Cert Monitor and Uptime Watch each include one permanently free slot. NEW IN 3.4: • Share Traceroute, Session Watch and Security Scan results as an image, without your Wi-Fi name or public IP address. • Traceroute explains the route in plain words. • History tells apart two networks that share a router address, and you can rename a network. • Devices recognizes many more kinds of device, from robot vacuums to solar inverters. • IPv6 across the tools. SIRI & SHORTCUTS: Speed test, "How's My Wi-Fi?", a gaming check, wake your computer, ping, port scan and DNS lookup, straight from Siri, Spotlight and Shortcuts. NOW IN 27 LANGUAGES. PRIVACY FIRST: All 19 diagnostic tools run on your device. No accounts, no tracking, no advertising. The Mac Agent syncs through your personal iCloud. When an answer needs PingKit's own service, PingKit asks first, and you can withdraw that permission at any time. PingKit Guardian: $2.99/mo or $24.99/yr. Your game lags but the speed test says 300 Mbps. Your call breaks up while a download runs fine. Your VPN connects on one network and refuses on another. NetDiag+ shows where the problem is: your Wi-Fi, your router or your provider. 31 network tools on your iPhone, running on raw BSD sockets — no jailbreak, no desktop. START HERE • Health Score — one run of about 40 seconds gives a score from 0 to 100 and a verdict for your Wi-Fi, your router and your provider. One reminder can bring you back at the other end of the day, and a home-screen widget shows your last score. • Report for your provider — two or more Health Score checks in one text or PDF document (in English): day or evening, which link was flagged each time, and the numbers from every check. Something concrete to send instead of "my internet is slow". • Latency Dashboard — game regions and CDN edges, plus local carriers for the Gulf, Turkey, Russia and Egypt, sorted worst-first with median, jitter and loss. Your router is checked first, so a problem at home is not mistaken for a slow server. • Bufferbloat — loads your line while pinging your router and the internet, grades the result from A+ to F and shows where the queue builds up: at home or at your provider. If the test server is throttled, it says so instead of guessing a grade. DIAGNOSE • Ping & Traceroute — classic reach tests, with your own interval and packet size • MTR — continuous traceroute with per-hop loss and RTT, probed in parallel • Path MTU Discovery — finds the right MTU for your VPN or tunnel: the largest packet that really gets through, in about 30 seconds • Speed Test — download and upload bandwidth • Site Reach — TCP and TLS audit of 35 popular sites, detects SNI blocks • HTTP/3 Tester — a real QUIC handshake, not a header • Host Monitor — alerts when a server goes down DNS, DOMAINS & SECURITY • NSLookup — any DNS record type • Encrypted DNS — DoH and DoT across Cloudflare, Google, Quad9 and NextDNS, compared • Whois — registration data with parsed fields • SSL Checker — certificate chain and expiry dates • TLS Inspector — which TLS versions and ciphers a server accepts • BGP Info — AS, peers and announced prefixes for any IP • Reverse DNS — the name behind an IP address • HTTP Headers — every response header and the whole redirect chain LOCAL NETWORK • Wi-Fi Info — SSID, signal strength, IP details • LAN Scanner — every device answering on your subnet, with Wake-on-LAN • Bonjour Browser — AirPlay receivers, printers, Chromecasts, HomeKit • Port Scanner — open ports on a host • STUN / NAT — public IP and NAT type for VoIP, gaming and peer-to-peer • VPN Check — whether a VPN is active, your public IP and NAT type, and whether your DNS answers match an encrypted resolver • IPv6 Check — connectivity, NAT64 / DNS64, v4 against v6 UTILITIES • Subnet Calculator, IP Geolocation • Network Passport — a shareable summary of the connection • History — every diagnostic you have run EVERY RESULT EXPORTS AS TEXT OR PDF Text pastes into a support ticket or forum thread; a PDF attaches to a mail to your provider. 13 languages, Arabic with full right-to-left support. In-app help on every tool explains how to read the result. Made for network engineers, sysadmins, gamers and anyone who has ever argued with their ISP. No account. No subscription. Results stay on your iPhone unless you share them. The app shows ads and collects usage analytics, like which tools you open, not what they measured. A one-time purchase removes ads.
